2022-12-27KVM: selftests: Delete dead code in x86_64/vmx_tsc_adjust_test.cSean Christopherson1-5/+0
Delete an unused struct definition in x86_64/vmx_tsc_adjust_test.c. Signed-off-by: Sean Christopherson <seanjc@google.com> Message-Id: <20221213001653.3852042-3-seanjc@google.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2022-07-13KVM: selftests: Use kvm_cpu_has() for nested VMX checksSean Christopherson1-1/+1
Use kvm_cpu_has() to check for nested VMX support, and drop the helpers now that their functionality is trivial to implement. No functional change intended. Signed-off-by: Sean Christopherson <seanjc@google.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220614200707.3315957-7-seanjc@google.com
2022-07-13KVM: selftests: Fix filename reporting in guest assertsColton Lewis1-1/+1
Fix filename reporting in guest asserts by ensuring the GUEST_ASSERT macro records __FILE__ and substituting REPORT_GUEST_ASSERT for many repetitive calls to TEST_FAIL. Previously filename was reported by using __FILE__ directly in the selftest, wrongly assuming it would always be the same as where the assertion failed. 2022-06-11KVM: selftests: Purge vm+vcpu_id == vcpu sillinessSean Christopherson1-3/+3
Take a vCPU directly instead of a VM+vcpu pair in all vCPU-scoped helpers and ioctls. Signed-off-by: Sean Christopherson <seanjc@google.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2022-06-11KVM: selftests: Convert vmx_tsc_adjust_test away from VCPU_IDSean Christopherson1-7/+6
Convert vmx_tsc_adjust_test to use vm_create_with_one_vcpu() and pass around a 'struct kvm_vcpu' object instead of using a global VCPU_ID. Note, this is a "functional" change in the sense that the test now creates a vCPU with vcpu_id==0 instead of vcpu_id==5. The non-zero VCPU_ID was 100% arbitrary and added little to no validation coverage. If testing non-zero vCPU IDs is desirable for generic tests, that can be done in the future by tweaking the VM creation helpers. 2022-04-21kvm: selftests: introduce and use more page size-related constantsPaolo Bonzini1-1/+0
Clean up code that was hardcoding masks for various fields, now that the masks are included in processor.h. For more cleanup, define PAGE_SIZE and PAGE_MASK just like in Linux. PAGE_SIZE in particular was defined by several tests. 2021-09-30KVM: selftests: Fix kvm_vm_free() in cr4_cpuid_sync and vmx_tsc_adjust testsThomas Huth1-1/+1
The kvm_vm_free() statement here is currently dead code, since the loop in front of it can only be left with the "goto done" that jumps right after the kvm_vm_free(). Fix it by swapping the locations of the "done" label and the kvm_vm_free(). 2020-11-16KVM: selftests: x86: Set supported CPUIDs on default VMAndrew Jones1-1/+0
Almost all tests do this anyway and the ones that don't don't appear to care. Only vmx_set_nested_state_test assumes that a feature (VMX) is disabled until later setting the supported CPUIDs. It's better to disable that explicitly anyway. 2020-03-16selftests: kvm: Uses TEST_FAIL in tests/utilitiesWainer dos Santos Moschetta1-2/+2
Changed all tests and utilities to use TEST_FAIL macro instead of TEST_ASSERT(false,...). Signed-off-by: Wainer dos Santos Moschetta <wainersm@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2020-03-16KVM: selftests: Fix unknown ucall command assertsAndrew Jones1-1/+1
The TEST_ASSERT in x86_64/platform_info_test.c would have print 'ucall' instead of 'uc.cmd'. Also fix all uc.cmd format types. Signed-off-by: Andrew Jones <drjones@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2020-03-16KVM: selftests: Convert some printf's to pr_info'sAndrew Jones1-2/+2
We leave some printf's because they inform the user the test is being skipped. QUIET should not disable those. We also leave the printf's used for help text. Signed-off-by: Andrew Jones <drjones@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>

2019-05-24KVM: selftests: Compile code with warnings enabledThomas Huth1-3/+2
So far the KVM selftests are compiled without any compiler warnings enabled. That's quite bad, since we miss a lot of possible bugs this way. Let's enable at least "-Wall" and some other useful warning flags now, and fix at least the trivial problems in the code (like unused variables).
