The current filtering level is set on the first interface up on a wpan
phy. If we support scan functionality we need to change the filtering
level on the fly on an operational phy and switching back again.
This patch will move the receive mode parameter e.g. address filter and
promiscuous mode to the drv_start() functionality to allow changing the
receive mode on an operational phy not on first ifup only. In future this
should be handled on driver layer because each hardware has it's own way
to enter a specific filtering level. However this should offer to switch
to mode IEEE802154_FILTERING_NONE and back to
IEEE802154_FILTERING_4_FRAME_FIELDS.
Only IEEE802154_FILTERING_4_FRAME_FIELDS and IEEE802154_FILTERING_NONE
are somewhat supported by current hardware. All other filtering levels
can be supported in future but will end in IEEE802154_FILTERING_NONE as
the receive part can kind of "emulate" those receive paths by doing
additional filtering routines.
There are in total three filtering levels in the code:
- the per-interface default level (should not be changed)
- the required per-interface level (mac commands may play with it)
- the actual per-PHY (hw) level that is currently in use

Right now we are able to stop a queue but we have no indication if a
transmission is ongoing or not.
Thanks to recent additions, we can track the number of ongoing
transmissions so we know if the last transmission is over. Adding on top
of it an internal wait queue also allows to be woken up asynchronously
when this happens. If, beforehands, we marked the queue to be held and
stopped it, we end up flushing and stopping the tx queue.
Thanks to this feature, we will soon be able to introduce a synchronous
transmit API.

Create a hold_txs atomic variable and increment/decrement it when
relevant, ie. when we want to hold the queue or release it: currently
all the "stopped" situations are suitable, but very soon we will more
extensively use this feature for MLME purposes.
Upon release, the atomic counter is decremented and checked. If it is
back to 0, then the netif queue gets woken up. This makes the whole
process fully transparent, provided that all the users of
ieee802154_wake/stop_queue() now call ieee802154_hold/release_queue()
instead.
In no situation individual drivers should call any of these helpers
manually in order to avoid messing with the counters. There are other
functions more suited for this purpose which have been introduced, such
as the _xmit_complete() and _xmit_error() helpers which will handle all
that for them.
One advantage is that, as no more drivers call the stop/wake helpers
directly, we can safely stop exporting them and only declare the
hold/release ones in a header only accessible to the core.

As depicted in the IEEE 802.15.4 specification, modulation/bands are
tight to a number of page/channels so we can for most of them derive the
durations automatically.
The two locations that must call this new helper to set the variou
symbol durations are:
- when manually requesting a channel change though the netlink interface
- at PHY creation, once the device driver has set the default
page/channel
If an information is missing, the symbol duration is not touched, a
debug message is eventually printed. This keeps the compatibility with
the unconverted drivers for which it was too complicated for me to find
their precise information. If they initially provided a symbol duration,
it would be kept. If they don't, the symbol duration value is left
untouched.
Once the symbol duration derived, the lifs and sifs durations are
updated as well.

This patch adds support for accessing mac802154 llsec implementation
over nl802154. I added for a new Kconfig entry to provide this
functionality CONFIG_IEEE802154_NL802154_EXPERIMENTAL. This interface is
still in development. It provides to change security parameters and
add/del/dump entries of security tables. Later we can add also a get to
get an entry by unique identifier.

This patch introduce a new mib entry which isn't part of 802.15.4 but
useful as default behaviour to set the ack request bit or not if we
don't know if the ack request bit should set. This is currently used for
stacks like IEEE 802.15.4 6LoWPAN.

This patch removes several checks if a value is really changed. This
makes only sense if we have another layer call e.g. calling the
driver_ops which is done by callbacks like "set_channel".
For MAC settings which need to be set by phy registers (if the phy
supports that handling) this is set by doing an interface up currently
and are not direct driver_ops calls, so we remove the checks from these
configuration callbacks.

This patch introduces suspend and resume callbacks to mac802154. When
doing suspend we calling the stop driver callback which should stop the
receiving of frames. A transceiver should go into low-power mode then.
Calling resume will call the start driver callback, which starts receiving
again and allow to transmit frames.
This was tested only with the fakelb driver and a qemu vm by doing the
following commands:
echo "devices" > /sys/power/pm_test
echo "freeze" > /sys/power/state
while doing some high traffic between two fakelb phys.

This patch adds a workaround for using the new nl802154 netlink
interface with the old ieee802154 netlink interface togehter. The
nl802154 currently supports no access for llsec layer, currently there
are users outside which are using both interfaces at the same time. This
patch adds a necessary call when addresses are updated.

This patch removes the check if operation is supported by driver layer.
This is done now by capabilities flags, if these are valid then the
driver should support the operation, otherwise a WARN_ON occurs.

This patch adds check if the value is really changed inside pib/mib.
If a transceiver do support only one value for e.g. max_be then this
will also handle that the driver layer doesn't need to care about
handling to set one value only.

to be sure now that this value is accepted by the transceiver/mac802154 or

This code is based on commit 6bab2e19c5ffd
("cfg80211: pass name_assign_type to rdev_add_virtual_intf()")
This will expose in sysfs whether the ifname of a IEEE-802.15.4
device is set by userspace or generated by the kernel.
We are using two types of name_assign_types
o NET_NAME_ENUM: Default interface name provided by kernel
o NET_NAME_USER: Interface name provided by user.

This patch adds support for setting an extended address while
registration a new interface. If ieee802154_is_valid_extended_addr
getting as parameter and invalid extended address then the perm address
is fallback. This is useful to make some default handling while for
example default registration of a wpan interface while phy registration.

This parameter was grabbed from wireless implementation with the
identically wireless dev struct. We don't need this right now and so we
remove it. Maybe we will add it later again if we found any real reason
to have such parameter.

This patch adds support for setting short address via nl802154 framework.
Also added a comment because a 0xffff seems to be valid address that we
don't have a short address. This is a valid setting but we need
more checks in upper layers to don't allow this address as source address.
Also the current netlink interface doesn't allow to set the short_addr
to 0xffff. Same for the 0xfffe short address which describes a not
allocated short address.

This patch adds support for setting pan_id via nl802154 framework.
Adding a comment because setting 0xffff as pan_id seems to be valid
setting. The pan_id 0xffff as source pan is invalid. I am not sure now
about this setting but for the current netlink interface this is an
invalid setting, so we do the same now. Maybe we need to change that
when we have coordinator support and association support.

This patch meld mac802154_netdev_register into ieee802154_if_add
function. Also we have now only one alloc_netdev call with one interface
setup routine "ieee802154_if_setup" instead two different one for each
interface type. This patch checks via runtime the interface type and do
different handling now. Additional we add the wpan_dev struct in
ieee802154_sub_if_data and set the new ieee802154_ptr while netdev
registration. This behaviour is very similar the mac80211 netdev
registration functionality.

mac802154_netdev_register functions into iface.c. The function
mac802154_add_iface is renamed to ieee802154_if_add which is a similar naming
convention like mac80211.

This patch removes the wpan_phy callbacks for add and del an interface
on a phy. Instead we introduce deprecated cfg802154 callbacks for this.
Furthermore we introduce a new netlink interface nl802154 which use
different callbacks. The deprecated function is to have a backwards
compatibility with the current netlink interface.
