2022-05-26tracing: Use trace_create_file() to simplify creation of tracefs entriesYuntao Wang1-5/+2
Creating tracefs entries with tracefs_create_file() followed by pr_warn() is tedious and repetitive, we can use trace_create_file() to simplify this process and make the code more readable. 2021-10-08tracing: Disable "other" permission bits in the tracefs filesSteven Rostedt (VMware)1-2/+2
When building the files in the tracefs file system, do not by default set any permissions for OTH (other). This will make it easier for admins who want to define a group for accessing tracefs and not having to first disable all the permission bits for "other" in the file system. As tracing can leak sensitive information, it should never by default allowing all users access. An admin can still set the permission bits for others to have access, which may be useful for creating a honeypot and seeing who takes advantage of it and roots the machine. 2020-11-06ftrace: Add recording of functions that caused recursionSteven Rostedt (VMware)1-0/+236
This adds CONFIG_FTRACE_RECORD_RECURSION that will record to a file "recursed_functions" all the functions that caused recursion while a callback to the function tracer was running.
