2022-02-17staging: wfx: fix DT bindings locationJérôme Pouiller1-130/+0
Currently, the DT bindings the wfx driver cannot be processed by make dt_binding_check. We need to place it somewhere into Documentation/devicetree/bindings/. After that change, we are able to get warnings from dt_binding_check and fix them. 2022-01-25staging: wfx: rename "config-file" DT attributeJérôme Pouiller1-4/+5
"config-file" is too broad. Replace it by "silabs,antenna-config-file" which is more explicit. The attribute "config-file" is probably not widely used. This patch obviously breaks setups that use this attribute. 2022-01-25staging: wfx: drop legacy compatible valuesJérôme Pouiller1-2/+1
Values "silabs,wfx-sdio" and "silabs,wfx-spi" are deprecated for a while now. We take advantage of getting out of the staging tree to drop them and start from a blank sheet. 2022-01-25staging: wfx: map 'compatible' attribute with board nameJérôme Pouiller1-3/+8
"WF200" only designates the chip. To make a WiFi board, the chip must be associated with an antenna. The antenna configuration is located in separate files (aka PDS files in Silabs wording). Currently, user has to write in his DT something like: compatible = "silabs,wf200"; config = "brd4001a.pds"; It is far better to embed a list of known boards (chip + antenna) in the driver. So the user just have to declare: compatible = "silabs,brd4001a"; This patch add the configurations for the evaluation boards sold by Silabs. To provide a full plug-and-play experience, the associated PDS files[1] will be available in linux-firmware. This patch does not break compatibility with existing setups. 2020-10-07dt-bindings: staging: wfx: silabs, wfx yaml conversionJérôme Pouiller2-96/+125
The device can be connected on SPI or on SDIO. The original file described the two options separately. So, most of the file had to be rewritten in order to match with the Yaml requirements. Some device requirements are still written in the comments since they cannot been expressed with the current scheme (e.g. reg must be set to 1 with SDIO, interrupt is mandatory with SPI, reset-gpio in SPI is replaced by mmc-pwrseq in SDIO, etc...). The examples provided have also been reworked in order to make dt_binding_check happy. Finally, also fix typo in the name of the file (siliabs instead of silabs) Signed-off-by: Jérôme Pouiller <jerome.pouiller@silabs.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20201007101943.749898-7-Jerome.Pouiller@silabs.com Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2020-10-07staging: wfx: remove remaining code of 'secure link' featureJérôme Pouiller1-2/+0
Commit e8d607ce0c81 ("staging: wfx: drop 'secure link' feature") had removed the 'secure link' feature. However, a few lines of codes were yet here. 2020-02-24docs: dt: fix several broken doc referencesMauro Carvalho Chehab1-1/+1
There are several DT doc references that require manual fixes. I found 3 cases fixed on this patch: - directory named "binding/" instead of "bindings/"; - .txt to .yaml renames; - file renames (still on txt format); Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org> Reviewed-by: Miquel Raynal <miquel.raynal@bootlin.com> Reviewed-by: Jérôme Pouiller <jerome.pouiller@silabs.com> Acked-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>

2020-02-11staging: wfx: add proper "compatible" stringMichał Mirosław1-3/+4
Add "compatible" string matching "vendor, chip" template and proper GPIO flags handling. Keep support for old name and reset polarity for older devicetrees. 2019-10-04staging: wfx: add infrastructure for new driverJérôme Pouiller1-0/+97
Instantiate build infrastructure WFx driver. This driver provides support for Wifi chipset Silicon Labs WF200 and further: https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/data-sheets/wf200-datasheet.pdf This chip support SPI and SDIO bus. SDIO interface has two particularities: 1. Some parameters may be useful for end user (I will talk about gpio_wakeup later). 2. The SDIO VID and PID of WF200 are 0000:0001 which are too much generic to rely on. So, current code checks VID/PID and looks for a node in DT (since WF200 targets embedded platforms, I don't think it is a problem to rely on DT). DT can also be used to define to parameters for driver. Currently, if no node is found, a warning is emitted, but it could be changed in error.
