2010-08-30Staging: delete rtl8192su driverGreg Kroah-Hartman1-301/+0
Now that we have a much better driver for this device (rtl8712), delete this driver as it is no longer needed. Cc: Larry Finger <Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

2010-05-14Staging: Use kcalloc or kzallocJulia Lawall1-5/+2
Use kcalloc or kzalloc rather than the combination of kmalloc and memset. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression x,y,flags; statement S; type T; @@ x = - kmalloc + kcalloc ( - y * sizeof(T), + y, sizeof(T), flags); if (x == NULL) S -memset(x, 0, y * sizeof(T)); @@ expression x,size,flags; statement S; @@ -x = kmalloc(size,flags); +x = kzalloc(size,flags); if (x == NULL) S -memset(x, 0, size); // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk>
2010-05-11Staging: Drop memory allocation castJulia Lawall1-1/+1
Drop cast on the result of kmalloc and similar functions. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ type T; @@ - (T *) (\(kmalloc\|kzalloc\|kcalloc\|kmem_cache_alloc\|kmem_cache_zalloc\| kmem_cache_alloc_node\|kmalloc_node\|kzalloc_node\)(...)) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2010-03-03Staging: rtl8192su, rtl8192u: use min_t() in store_debug_level()Simon Horman1-1/+1
sizeof() returns a size_t but the other types involved are unsigned long, so using min() results in a warning. As sizeof() is called on an 11 character buffer defined immediately above unsigned long is obviously wide enough for the result. 2009-10-30Staging: rtl8187se/rtl8192e/rtl8192su: allow module unloadHerton Ronaldo Krzesinski1-3/+1
On rtl81* additions, they had its wireless stack made builtin instead of separated modules. But try_module_get/module_put in stack were kept, they are uneeded with the stack builtin and makes rtl81* modules impossible to remove on a system with an rtl81* card. request_module calls are also uneeded with stack builtin, so remove them too. 2009-09-15Staging: rtl8192su: fixup size comparison warningJeff Mahoney1-1/+1
sizeof(val) returns type unsigned long. count is already unsigned long, so just use that. This fixes a compile warning. Signed-off-by: Jeff Mahoney <jeffm@suse.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
