2022-06-10scsi: qla2xxx: edif: Fix no logout on delete for N2NQuinn Tran1-0/+3
The driver failed to send implicit logout on session delete. For edif, this failed to flush any lingering SA index in FW. Set a flag to turn on implicit logout early in the session recovery to make sure the logout will go out in case of error. This patch uses GFFID switch command to scan whether remote device is Target or Initiator mode. Based on that info, driver will not pass up Initiator info to authentication application. 2022-03-15scsi: qla2xxx: Fix N2N inconsistent PLOGIQuinn Tran1-5/+3
For N2N topology, ELS Passthrough is used to send PLOGI. On failure of ELS pass through PLOGI, driver flipped over to using LLIOCB PLOGI for N2N. This is not consistent. Delete the session to restart the connection where ELS pass through PLOGI would be used consistently. The timeout handler and the done function are racing. When qla2x00_async_iocb_timeout() starts to run it can be preempted by the normal response path (via the firmware?). qla24xx_async_gpsc_sp_done() releases the SRB unconditionally. One reference is taken for the normal code path (the 'good' case) and one for the timeout path. As we always race between the normal good case and the timeout/abort handler we need to serialize it. Also we cannot assume any order between the handlers. Since this is slow path we can use proper synchronization via locks. When we are able to cancel a timer (del_timer returns 1) we know there can't be any error handling in progress because the timeout handler hasn't expired yet, thus we can safely decrement the refcounter by one. If we are not able to cancel the timer, we know an abort handler is running. We have to make sure we call sp->done() in the abort handlers before calling kref_put(). 2021-07-27scsi: qla2xxx: edif: Add detection of secure deviceQuinn Tran1-1/+16
Some FC adapters from Marvell offer the ability to encrypt data in flight (EDIF). This feature requires an application to act as an authenticator. There is no FC switch scan service that can indicate whether a device is secure or non-secure. In order to detect whether the remote port supports encrypted operation, driver must first do a PLOGI with the remote device. On completion of the PLOGI, driver will query firmware to see if the device supports secure login. To do that, driver + firmware must advertise the security bit via PLOGI's service parameter. The remote device shall respond using the same service parameter whether it supports it or not. 2021-07-27scsi: qla2xxx: edif: Add key updateQuinn Tran1-0/+6
Some FC adapters from Marvell offer the ability to encrypt data in flight (EDIF). This feature requires an application to act as an authenticator. As part of the authentication process, the authentication application will generate a SADB entry (Security Association/SA, key, SPI value, etc). This SADB is then passed to driver to be programmed into hardware. There will be a pair of SADB's (Tx and Rx) for each connection. After some period, the application can choose to change the key. At that time, a new set of SADB pair is given to driver. The old set of SADB will be deleted. Add a new bsg call (QL_VND_SC_SA_UPDATE) to allow application to allow adding or deleting SADB entries. Driver will not keep the key in memory. It will pass it to HW. It is assumed that application will assign a unique SPI value to this SADB (SA + key). Driver + hardware will assign a handle to track this unique SPI/SADB. Some FC adapters from Marvell offer the ability to encrypt data in flight (EDIF). This feature requires an application to act as an authenticator. Add the ability for authentication application to send and retrieve messages as part of the authentication process via existing FC_BSG_HST_ELS_NOLOGIN BSG interface. To send a message, application is expected to format the data in the AUTH ELS format. Refer to FC-SP2 for details. If a message was received, application is required to reply with either a LS_ACC or LS_RJT complete the exchange using the same interface. Otherwise, remote device will treat it as a timeout. This patch tracks number of IOCB resources used in the I/O fast path. If the number of used IOCBs reach a high water limit, driver would return the I/O as busy and let upper layer retry. This prevents over subscription of IOCB resources where any future error recovery command is unable to cut through. Enable IOCB throttling by default. request_t.handle The request_t 'handle' member is 32-bits wide, hence use wrt_reg_dword(). Change the cast in the wrt_reg_byte() call to make it clear that a regular pointer is casted to an __iomem pointer. Note: 'pkt' points to I/O memory for the qlafx00 adapter family and to coherent memory for all other adapter families. This patch fixes the following Coverity complaint: CID 358864 (#1 of 1): Reliance on integer endianness (INCOMPATIBLE_CAST) incompatible_cast: Pointer &pkt->handle points to an object whose effective type is unsigned int (32 bits, unsigned) but is dereferenced as a narrower unsigned short (16 bits, unsigned). Target makes implicit LOGO on session teardown. LOGO ELS is not send on the wire and initiator is not aware that target no longer wants talking to it. Initiator keeps sending I/O requests, target responds with BA_RJT, they time out and then initiator sends ABORT TASK (ABTS-LS). Current behaviour incurs unneeded I/O timeout and can be fixed for some initiators by making explicit LOGO on session deletion. Current code will send PRLI with FC-NVMe bit set for the targets which support only FCP. This may result into issue with targets which do not understand NVMe and will go into a strange state. This patch would restart the login process by going back to PLOGI state. The PLOGI state will force the target to respond to correct PRLI request.
