ahd_linux_setup_iocell_info() intentionally writes to the const-marked aic79xx_iocell_info array, but is called during __init, so the location is actually writable at this point on most architectures. 2021-10-16scsi: core: Remove the 'done' argument from SCSI queuecommand_lck functionsBart Van Assche2-4/+2
The DEF_SCSI_QCMD() macro passes the addresses of the SCSI host lock and also that of the scsi_done function to the queuecommand_lck() function implementations. 2021-06-22scsi: aic7xxx: Fix unintentional sign extension issue on left shift of u8Colin Ian King1-1/+1
The shifting of the u8 integer returned fom ahc_inb(ahc, port+3) by 24 bits to the left will be promoted to a 32 bit signed int and then sign-extended to a u64. In the event that the top bit of the u8 is set then all then all the upper 32 bits of the u64 end up as also being set because of the sign-extension. Fix this by casting the u8 values to a u64 before the 24 bit left shift. Building aicasm with gcc 10.2 + gas 26.1 causes these errors: multiple definition of `args'; multiple definition of `yylineno'; args came from the expansion of: STAILQ_HEAD(macro_arg_list, macro_arg) args; The definition of the macro_arg_list structure is needed, the global variable 'args' is not, so delete it. yylineno is defined by flex, so defining it in bison/*.y file is not needed. Switch to the new generic framework by updating function signatures and define a "struct dev_pm_ops" variable to bind PM callbacks. Since commit 84af7a6194e4 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over '---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances. This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines, I also fixed the indentation.
