2015-03-16mwifiex: get rid of BA setup helper functionsZhaoyang Liu1-1/+6
This patch removes BA setup helper routines mwifiex_is_bastream_setup and mwifiex_is_amsdu_in_ampdu_allowed. Current code will use two functions to check bastream setup and amsdu in ampdu. 2015-01-29mwifiex: do not declare wdev as pointerAvinash Patil1-1/+1
wdev is used even after del_virtual_interface handler in cfg80211 in nl80211_post_doit. Since we have freed wdev in handling of del_virtual_intf, this can result into crash while deleting interface. Avoid this be not declaring wdev which part of mwifiex_private structure but struct wireless_dev type. 2014-10-30mwifiex: restart rxreorder timer correctlyMarc Yang1-12/+40
During 11n RX reordering, if there is a hole in RX table, driver will not send packets to kernel until the rxreorder timer expires or the table is full. However, currently driver always restarts rxreorder timer when receiving a packet, which causes the timer hardly to expire. So while connected with to 11n AP in a busy environment, ping packets may get blocked for about 30 seconds. This patch fixes this timer restarting by ensuring rxreorder timer would only be restarted either timer is not set or start_win has changed. 2014-03-14mwifiex: add AMSDU inside AMPDU supportAmitkumar Karwar1-2/+61
Currently AMPDU aggregation is preferred over AMSDU. AMSDU aggregation is performed only if AMPDU streams in firmware are full. This patch adds simultaneous AMSDU and AMPDU aggregation support. This mechanism helps to improve throughput. AMSDU is enabled only for 8897 chipsets which supports 4K transmit buffer. User can disable AMSDU using 'disable_tx_amsdu' module parameter. 2014-02-28mwifiex: remove global variable cmd_wait_q_requiredBing Zhao1-1/+1
There is a race condition while queuing synchronous command and asynchronous command requested from different threads, because the wait_q_enabled flag is set based on a global variable cmd_wait_q_required. The issue is fixed by removing this global variable and using a unified function with an argument 'sync' passed into the function. 2014-02-28mwifiex: Track BA sequence number resetPaul Stewart1-6/+21
Some stations reset the sequence number for traffic-ids (TIDs) as they initiate a block-ACK session. In order to detect such behavior, mwifiex must note the starting sequence number given during the ADDBA request. If the first received sequence number after the ADDBA falls outside the receive window for this TID but after the the ADDBA starting sequence number, we can assume that this AP has reset its sequence number during the ADDBA. In this case we must adjust the input window backward to incorporate this received sequence number instead of ignoring it. Otherwise, we could fail to successfully retrieve an arbitrarily large number of downstream frames at the beginning of the block-ACK session. 2012-06-22mwifiex: fix 11n rx packet drop issueStone Piao1-2/+3
Currently we check the sequence number of last packet received against start_win. If a sequence hole is detected, start_win is updated to next sequence number. Since the rx sequence number is initialized to 0, a corner case exists when BA setup happens immediately after association. As 0 is a valid sequence number, start_win gets increased to 1 incorrectly. This causes the first packet with sequence number 0 being dropped. Initialize rx sequence number as 0xffff and skip adjusting start_win if the sequence number remains 0xffff. The sequence number will be updated once the first packet is received. For example, this cast: int y; int *p = (int *)&y; I used the coccinelle script below to find and remove these unnecessary casts. I manually removed the conversions this script produces of casts with __force, __iomem and __user. @@ type T; T *p; @@ - (T *)p + p Neatened the mwifiex_deauthenticate_infra function which was doing odd things with array pointers and not using is_zero_ether_addr.
