2020-01-07mfd: atmel-hlcdc: Return in case of errorClaudiu Beznea1-4/+11
For HLCDC timing engine configurations bit ATMEL_HLCDC_SIP of ATMEL_HLCDC_SR needs to be polled before applying new config. In case of timeout there is no indicator about this, so, return in case of timeout and also print a message about this. 2020-01-07mfd: atmel-hlcdc: Add struct device member to struct atmel_hlcdc_regmapClaudiu Beznea1-0/+3
Add struct device member to struct atmel_hlcdc_regmap to be able to use dev_*() specific logging functions. Signed-off-by: Claudiu Beznea <claudiu.beznea@microchip.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>

2018-07-07headers: separate linux/mod_devicetable.h from linux/platform_device.hRandy Dunlap1-0/+1
At over 4000 #includes, <linux/platform_device.h> is the 9th most #included header file in the Linux kernel. It does not need <linux/mod_devicetable.h>, so drop that header and explicitly add <linux/mod_devicetable.h> to source files that need it. 4146 #include <linux/platform_device.h> After this patch, there are 225 files that use <linux/mod_devicetable.h>, for a reduction of around 3900 times that <linux/mod_devicetable.h> does not have to be read & parsed. 225 #include <linux/mod_devicetable.h> This patch was build-tested on 20 different arch-es. It also makes these drivers SubmitChecklist#1 compliant. readl_poll_timeout() calls usleep_range(), but regmap_atmel_hlcdc_reg_write() is called in atomic context (regmap spinlock held). Replace the readl_poll_timeout() call by readl_poll_timeout_atomic(). 2016-04-19mfd: atmel-hlcdc: Use devm_mfd_add_devices() for mfd_device registrationLaxman Dewangan1-11/+3
Use devm_mfd_add_devices() for MFD devices registration and get rid of .remove callback to remove MFD child-devices. This is done by managed device framework. 2015-08-11mfd: atmel-hlcdc: Implement config synchronizationBoris Brezillon1-6/+45
Some HLCDC registers cannot be written until the hardware has finished applying the previous configuration request. If they are written while an action is still in progress, the new configuration might be silently ignored, resulting in unpredictable behavior. Hide the config synchronization stuff in a regmap implementation and use this implementation instead of the generic mmio one. 2014-11-25mfd: Add atmel-hlcdc driverBoris Brezillon1-0/+122
The HLCDC IP available on some Atmel SoCs (i.e. at91sam9n12, at91sam9x5 family or sama5d3 family) exposes 2 subdevices: - a display controller (controlled by a DRM driver) - a PWM chip The MFD device provides a regmap and several clocks (those connected to this hardware block) to its subdevices. This way concurrent accesses to the iomem range are handled by the regmap framework, and each subdevice can safely access HLCDC registers.
