2019-01-22drm/panel: panel-innolux: set display off in innolux_panel_unprepareHsin-Yi, Wang1-6/+5
Move mipi_dsi_dcs_set_display_off() from innolux_panel_disable() to innolux_panel_unprepare(), so they are consistent with innolux_panel_enable() and innolux_panel_prepare(). This also fixes some mode check and irq timeout issue in MTK dsi code. Since some dsi code (e.g. mtk_dsi) have following call trace: 1. drm_panel_disable(), which calls innolux_panel_disable() 2. switch to cmd mode 3. drm_panel_unprepare(), which calls innolux_panel_unprepare() However, mtk_dsi needs to be in cmd mode to be able to send commands (e.g. mipi_dsi_dcs_set_display_off() and mipi_dsi_dcs_enter_sleep_mode()), so we need these functions to be called after the switch to cmd mode happens, i.e. in innolux_panel_unprepare. 2019-01-11drm/panel: Add a driver for the TPO TPG110Linus Walleij3-0/+506
The TPO (Toppoly) TPG110 is a pretty generic display driver similar in vein to the Ilitek 93xx devices. It is not a panel per se but a driver used with several low-cost noname panels. This is used on the Nomadik NHK15 combined with a OSD OSD057VA01CT display for WVGA 800x480. The driver is pretty minimalistic right now but can be extended to handle non-default polarities, gamma correction etc. The driver is based on the baked-in code in drivers/video/fbdev/amba-clcd-nomadik.c which will be decomissioned once this us upstream. 2018-11-02drm/panel: Add simple panel mode for the ARM RTSMLinus Walleij1-0/+30
Having failed any attempts at a more generic solution, I fall back to the very specific solution: define a simple panel for the ARM RTSM emulated platforms. 2018-10-29drm/panel: simple: Innolux TV123WAM is actually P120ZDG-BF1Douglas Anderson1-7/+7
As far as I can tell the panel that was added in commit da50bd4258db ("drm/panel: simple: Add Innolux TV123WAM panel driver support") wasn't actually an Innolux TV123WAM but was actually an Innolux P120ZDG-BF1. As far as I can tell the Innolux TV123WAM isn't a real panel and but it's a mosh between the TI TV123WAM and the Innolux P120ZDG-BF1. Let's unmosh. Here's my evidence: * Searching for TV123WAM on the Internet turns up a TI panel. While it's possible that an Innolux panel has the same model number as the TI Panel, it seems a little doubtful. Looking up the datasheet from the TI Panel shows that it's 1920 x 1280 and 259.2 mm x 172.8 mm. * As far as I know, the patch adding the Innolux Panel was supposed to be for the board that's sitting in front of me as I type this (support for that board is not yet upstream). On the back of that panel I see Innolux P120ZDZ-EZ1 rev B1. * Someone pointed me at a datasheet that's supposed to be for the panel in front of me (sorry, I can't share the datasheet). That datasheet has the string "p120zdg-bf1" * If I search for "P120ZDG-BF1" on the Internet I get hits for panels that are 2160x1440. They don't have datasheets, but the fact that the resolution matches is a good sign. In any case, let's update the name and also the physical size to match the correct panel.
