[Why] Emulating passive dongle on USB-C port causes issue on some asics. [How] Check for DP_IS_USB_C flag in bios parser and propagate it to encoder features flags. If DP_IS_USB_C flag is set and it is trying to emulate passive dongle, then return fail. 2019-01-25drm/amd/display: fix eDP fast bootup for pre-raven asichersen wu1-2/+1
[Why] For fastboot, Bios will light up eDP before SW driver is loaded. SW driver will check if eDP is lit by bios through reading the BIOS_SCRATCH_3 register. If lit, SW driver will not power down eDP power and phy to save time. Definition of BIOS_SCRATCH_3 are missing for pre-raven asic. This causes eDP fast boot to not work property. For some eDP panels, even if dp tx sends NoVideoStream_flag =1 and dpcd 0x600=2, eDP rx may not handle properly. This may cause a short flash on screen. [Why] When XGMI is enabled, the DP reference clock needs to be adjusted according to the XGMI spread spectrum percentage and mode. But first, we need the ability to fetch this info. [How] Within the BIOS parser, Read from vBIOS when XGMI SS info is requested. In addition, diags build uses include_legacy/atomfirmware.h for the smu_info_v3_3 table headers. Update that as well. [Why] I2C code did not match dc resource model and was generally unpleasant [How] Move code into new svelte dce_i2c files, replacing various i2c objects with two structs: dce_i2c_sw and dce_i2c_hw. Fully split sw and hw code paths. Remove all redundant declarations. Use address lists to distinguish between versions. Change dce80 code to newer register access macros. 2018-08-27drm/amd/display: Set DFS bypass flags for dce110Nicholas Kazlauskas1-0/+3
[Why] While there is support for using and quering DFS bypass clocks the hardware is never notified to enter DFS bypass mode for dce110. [How] Add a flag that can be set when programming the display engine PLL to enable DFS bypass mode. If this flag is set then the hardware is notified to enter DFS bypass mode and the correct display engine clock frequency can be acquired. We fail apply_ctx_to_hw when crtc_source_select is missing. This isn't really helpful at this point. It would aid ASIC bringup if we log an error when we can't find the implementation for the ATOM version. Do the same for all other function points in the command table that do a NULL check before being called.
