2020-06-19docs: crypto: convert asymmetric-keys.txt to ReSTMauro Carvalho Chehab1-1/+1
This file is almost compatible with ReST. Just minor changes were needed: - Adjust document and titles markups; - Adjust numbered list markups; - Add a comments markup for the Contents section; - Add markups for literal blocks. 2018-10-26KEYS: Provide missing asymmetric key subops for new key type ops [ver #2]David Howells1-0/+95
Provide the missing asymmetric key subops for new key type ops. This include query, encrypt, decrypt and create signature. Verify signature already exists. Also provided are accessor functions for this: int query_asymmetric_key(const struct key *key, struct kernel_pkey_query *info); int encrypt_blob(struct kernel_pkey_params *params, const void *data, void *enc); int decrypt_blob(struct kernel_pkey_params *params, const void *enc, void *data); int create_signature(struct kernel_pkey_params *params, const void *data, void *enc); The public_key_signature struct gains an encoding field to carry the encoding for verify_signature(). 2018-06-15docs: Fix some broken referencesMauro Carvalho Chehab1-1/+1
As we move stuff around, some doc references are broken. Fix some of them via this script: ./scripts/documentation-file-ref-check --fix Manually checked if the produced result is valid, removing a few false-positives. 2016-04-06KEYS: Add identifier pointers to public_key_signature structDavid Howells1-0/+4
Add key identifier pointers to public_key_signature struct so that they can be used to retain the identifier of the key to be used to verify the signature in both PKCS#7 and X.509. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com>
2016-04-06KEYS: Allow authentication data to be stored in an asymmetric keyDavid Howells1-0/+14
Allow authentication data to be stored in an asymmetric key in the 4th element of the key payload and provide a way for it to be destroyed. For the public key subtype, this will be a public_key_signature struct. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com>
2015-12-11crypto: asymmetric_keys - signature.c does not need <module.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+1
This file does not contain any modular related function calls. So get rid of module.h since it drags in a lot of other headers and adds to the preprocessing load. It does export some symbols though, so we'll need to ensure it has export.h present instead. Cc: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au> Cc: "David S. 2015-10-21KEYS: Merge the type-specific data with the payload dataDavid Howells1-1/+1
Merge the type-specific data with the payload data into one four-word chunk as it seems pointless to keep them separate. Use user_key_payload() for accessing the payloads of overloaded user-defined keys. 2014-09-03KEYS: Set pr_fmt() in asymmetric key signature handlingDavid Howells1-0/+1

2012-10-08KEYS: Provide signature verification with an asymmetric keyDavid Howells1-0/+49
Provide signature verification using an asymmetric-type key to indicate the public key to be used. The API is a single function that can be found in crypto/public_key.h: int verify_signature(const struct key *key, const struct public_key_signature *sig) The first argument is the appropriate key to be used and the second argument is the parsed signature data: struct public_key_signature { u8 *digest; u16 digest_size; enum pkey_hash_algo pkey_hash_algo : 8; union { MPI mpi[2]; struct { MPI s; /* m^d mod n */ } rsa; struct { MPI r; MPI s; } dsa; }; }; This should be filled in prior to calling the function. The hash algorithm should already have been called and the hash finalised and the output should be in a buffer pointed to by the 'digest' member. Any extra data to be added to the hash by the hash format (eg. PGP) should have been added by the caller prior to finalising the hash. It is assumed that the signature is made up of a number of MPI values. If an algorithm becomes available for which this is not the case, the above structure will have to change. It is also assumed that it will have been checked that the signature algorithm matches the key algorithm.
