snd_soc_card_jack_new() allowed to create jack kcontrol without pins,
but did not create kcontrols. The jack would not have kcontrols if pins
were not going to be added.
This renames the old snd_soc_card_jack_new() to
snd_soc_card_jack_new_pins() for use when pins are provided or will be
added later. The new snd_soc_card_jack_new() appropriately creates a
jack for use without pins and adds a kcontrol.

ASoC: Updates for v5.18
Quite a quiet release for ASoC, lots of work on drivers and platforms
but nothing too groundbreaking but not much on the core itself:
- Start of moving SoF to support multiple IPC mechanisms.
- Use of NHLT ACPI table to reduce the amount of quirking required for
Intel systems.
- Some building blocks for use in forthcoming Intel AVS driver for
legacy Intel DSP firmwares.
- Support for AMD PDM, Atmel PDMC, Awinic AW8738, i.MX cards with
TLV320AIC31xx, Intel machines with CS35L41 and ESSX8336, Mediatek
MT8181 wideband bluetooth, nVidia Tegra234, Qualcomm SC7280, Renesas
RZ/V2L, Texas Instruments TAS585M

In this case selecting TX and RX MACROs directly without checking its

In commit da0363f7bfd3 ("ASoC: qcom: Fix for DMA interrupt clear reg
overwriting") we changed regmap_write() to regmap_update_bits() so that
we can avoid overwriting bits that we didn't intend to modify.
Unfortunately this change breaks the case where a register is writable
but not readable, which is exactly how the HDMI irq clear register is
designed (grep around LPASS_HDMITX_APP_IRQCLEAR_REG to see how it's
write only). That's because regmap_update_bits() tries to read the
register from the hardware and if it isn't readable it looks in the
regmap cache to see what was written there last time to compare against
what we want to write there. Eventually, we're unable to modify this
register at all because the bits that we're trying to set are already
set in the cache.
This is doubly bad for the irq clear register because you have to write
the bit to clear an interrupt. Given the irq is level triggered, we see
an interrupt storm upon plugging in an HDMI cable and starting audio
playback. The irq storm is so great that performance degrades
significantly, leading to CPU soft lockups.
Fix it by using regmap_write_bits() so that we really do write the bits
in the clear register that we want to. This brings the number of irqs
handled by lpass_dma_interrupt_handler() down from ~150k/sec to ~10/sec.

Its possible that the sound card is just opened and closed without actually
playing stream, ex: if the audio file itself is missing.
Even in such cases we do call stop on graphs that are not yet started.
DSP can throw errors in such cases, so add a check to see if the graph
was started before stopping it.

The HDAudio ASoC support relies on the set_tdm_slots() helper to store
the HDaudio stream tag in the tx_mask. This only works because of the
pre-existing order in soc-pcm.c, where the hw_params() is handled for
codec_dais *before* cpu_dais. When the order is reversed, the
stream_tag is used as a mask in the codec fixup functions:
/* fixup params based on TDM slot masks */
if (substream->stream == SNDRV_PCM_STREAM_PLAYBACK &&
codec_dai->tx_mask)
soc_pcm_codec_params_fixup(&codec_params,
codec_dai->tx_mask);
As a result of this confusion, the codec_params_fixup() ends-up
generating bad channel masks, depending on what stream_tag was
allocated.
We could add a flag to state that the tx_mask is really not a mask,
but it would be quite ugly to persist in overloading concepts.
Instead, this patch suggests a more generic get/set 'stream' API based
on the existing model for SoundWire. We can expand the concept to
store 'stream' opaque information that is specific to different DAI
types. In the case of HDAudio DAIs, we only need to store a stream tag
as an unsigned char pointer. The TDM rx_ and tx_masks should really
only be used to store masks.
Rename get_sdw_stream/set_sdw_stream callbacks and helpers as
get_stream/set_stream. No functionality change beyond the rename.

The apq8016-sbc-sndcard is designed to be used with the LPASS drivers
(bypassing the combined audio/modem DSP in MSM8916/APQ8016).
Make it possible to use QDSP6 audio instead for the msm8916-qdsp6-sndcard.
This only requires adding some additional hooks that set up the DPCM
backends correctly. Similar code is already used in drivers for newer
SoCs such as apq8096.c, sdm845.c and sm8250.c.
A slightly different initialization sequence is used for the apq8016-sbc
and msm8916-qdsp6 sound card by defining the apq8016_sbc_add_ops()
function as device match data.

Stream IDs are reused across multiple BackEnd mixers, do not reset the
stream mixers if they are not already set for that particular FrontEnd.
Ex:
amixer cset iface=MIXER,name='SLIMBUS_0_RX Audio Mixer MultiMedia1' 1
would set the MultiMedia1 steam for SLIMBUS_0_RX, however doing below
command will reset previously setup MultiMedia1 stream, because both of them
are using MultiMedia1 PCM stream.
amixer cset iface=MIXER,name='SLIMBUS_2_RX Audio Mixer MultiMedia1' 0
reset the FrontEnd Mixers conditionally to fix this issue.
This is more noticeable in desktop setup, where in alsactl tries to restore
the alsa state and overwriting the previous mixer settings.

Q6PRM clks need to be disabled using PRM_CMD_RELEASE_HW_RSC dsp command
rather then using PRM_CMD_RSP_REQUEST_HW_RSC cmd with rate set to zero.
DSP will throw errors if we try to disable the clock using existing code.
Fix this by properly handling the clk release.

Clang warns:
sound/soc/qcom/qdsp6/topology.c:465:3: warning: unannotated fall-through between switch labels [-Wimplicit-fallthrough]
default:
^
sound/soc/qcom/qdsp6/topology.c:465:3: note: insert 'break;' to avoid fall-through
default:

break;
1 warning generated.
Clang is a little more pedantic than GCC, which permits implicit
fallthroughs to cases that contain just break or return. Clang's version
is more in line with the kernel's own stance in deprecated.rst, which
states that all switch/case blocks must end in either break,
fallthrough, continue, goto, or return. Add the missing break to fix
the warning.
