2021-06-09ALSA: sb: Fix assignment in if conditionTakashi Iwai1-1/+2
A lot of code for SB drivers is in a legacy style with assignment in if condition. This also made harder to catch some bugs (e.g. the commit 1c98f574403d "ALSA: emu8000: Fix a use after free in snd_emu8000_create_mixer"). This patch fixes the coding style. All are rather simple conversions and there should be no functional changes. (The changes in snd_emu8000_new() for hw->res_port1, 2 and 3 are slightly different from the older ones, but this shouldn't matter much in practice.) For a sake of code simplification, remove the init and the exit entries that do nothing. Notes for readers: actually it's OK to remove *both* init and exit, but not OK to remove the exit entry. snd_sb8dsp_pcm() and snd_sb8dsp_midi() take a pointer to a pointer of a PCM/MIDI where if this parameter is provided the newly allocated object is stored. This header file exists only for some hacks to adapt alsa-driver tree. It's useless for building in the kernel. Let's move a few lines in it to sound/core.h and remove it. With this patch, sound/driver.h isn't removed but has just a single compile warning to include it. This should be really killed in future. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it.
