2020-01-20samples/bpf: Use consistent include paths for libbpfToke Høiland-Jørgensen1-2/+2
Fix all files in samples/bpf to include libbpf header files with the bpf/ prefix, to be consistent with external users of the library. Also ensure that all includes of exported libbpf header files (those that are exported on 'make install' of the library) use bracketed includes instead of quoted. To make sure no new files are introduced that doesn't include the bpf/ prefix in its include, remove tools/lib/bpf from the include path entirely, and use tools/lib instead. 2019-10-08selftests/bpf: Split off tracing-only helpers into bpf_tracing.hAndrii Nakryiko1-0/+1
Split-off PT_REGS-related helpers into bpf_tracing.h header. Adjust selftests and samples to include it where necessary. 2018-03-08samples/bpf: add example to test reading addressTeng Qin1-0/+4
This commit adds additional test in the trace_event example, by attaching the bpf program to MEM_UOPS_RETIRED.LOCK_LOADS event with PERF_SAMPLE_ADDR requested, and print the lock address value read from the bpf program to trace_pipe. 2017-10-07bpf: add a test case for helper bpf_perf_prog_read_valueYonghong Song1-0/+10
The bpf sample program trace_event is enhanced to use the new helper to print out enabled/running time. Signed-off-by: Yonghong Song <yhs@fb.com> Acked-by: Alexei Starovoitov <ast@fb.com> Acked-by: Daniel Borkmann <daniel@iogearbox.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2016-11-28bpf/samples: Fix PT_REGS_IP on s390x and use itMichael Holzheu1-1/+1
The files "sampleip_kern.c" and "trace_event_kern.c" directly access "ctx->regs.ip" which is not available on s390x. Fix this and use the PT_REGS_IP() macro instead. Also fix the macro for s390x and use "psw.addr" from "pt_regs". 2016-09-02samples/bpf: add perf_event+bpf exampleAlexei Starovoitov1-0/+65
The bpf program is called 50 times a second and does hashmap[kern&user_stackid]++ It's primary purpose to check that key bpf helpers like map lookup, update, get_stackid, trace_printk and ctx access are all working. It checks: - PERF_COUNT_HW_CPU_CYCLES on all cpus - PERF_COUNT_HW_CPU_CYCLES for current process and inherited perf_events to children - PERF_COUNT_SW_CPU_CLOCK on all cpus - PERF_COUNT_SW_CPU_CLOCK for current process Signed-off-by: Alexei Starovoitov <ast@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David S.
