2019-06-20net/lib80211: move WEP handling to ARC4 library codeArd Biesheuvel1-38/+13
The crypto API abstraction is not very useful for invoking ciphers directly, especially in the case of arc4, which only has a generic implementation in C. So let's invoke the library code directly. 2019-06-19treewide: Replace GPLv2 boilerplate/reference with SPDX - rule 501Thomas Gleixner1-5/+1
Based on 1 normalized pattern(s): this program is free software you can redistribute it and or modify it under the terms of the gnu general public license version 2 as published by the free software foundation see readme and copying for more details extracted by the scancode license scanner the SPDX license identifier GPL-2.0-only has been chosen to replace the boilerplate/reference in 9 file(s). 2018-11-20crypto: drop mask=CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC from 'cipher' tfm allocationsEric Biggers1-2/+2
'cipher' algorithms (single block ciphers) are always synchronous, so passing CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC in the mask to crypto_alloc_cipher() has no effect. Many users therefore already don't pass it, but some still do. This inconsistency can cause confusion, especially since the way the 'mask' argument works is somewhat counterintuitive. Thus, just remove the unneeded CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC flags. This patch shouldn't change any actual behavior. 2018-10-10lib80211: don't use skcipherJohannes Berg1-32/+20
Using skcipher just makes the code longer, and mac80211 also "open-codes" the WEP encrypt/decrypt. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
2016-01-27lib80211: Use skcipher and ahashHerbert Xu1-19/+27
This patch replaces uses of blkcipher with skcipher and the long obsolete hash interface with ahash. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2013-04-29hostap: Don't use create_proc_read_entry()David Howells1-3/+2
Don't use create_proc_read_entry() as that is deprecated, but rather use proc_create_data() and seq_file instead. 2011-09-13wireless: Remove unnecessary OOM logging messagesJoe Perches1-4/+0
Removing unnecessary messages saves code and text. Site specific OOM messages are duplications of a generic MM out of memory message and aren't really useful, so just delete them. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>

2008-11-21lib80211: absorb crypto bits from net/ieee80211John W. Linville1-0/+296
These bits are shared already between ipw2x00 and hostap, and could probably be shared both more cleanly and with other drivers. This commit simply relocates the code to lib80211 and adjusts the drivers appropriately. Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
