2017-08-28irda: move net/irda/ to drivers/staging/irda/net/Greg Kroah-Hartman1-584/+0
It's time to get rid of IRDA. It's long been broken, and no one seems to use it anymore. So move it to staging and after a while, we can delete it from there. To start, move the network irda core from net/irda to drivers/staging/irda/net/ Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-12-10irda: Convert function pointer arrays and uses to constJoe Perches1-4/+4
Making things const is a good thing. (x86-64 defconfig with all irda) $ size net/irda/built-in.o* text data bss dec hex filename 109276 1868 244 111388 1b31c net/irda/built-in.o.new 108828 2316 244 111388 1b31c net/irda/built-in.o.old Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-11-12irda: Convert IRDA_DEBUG to pr_debugJoe Perches1-20/+18
Use the normal kernel debugging mechanism which also enables dynamic_debug at the same time. Other miscellanea: o Remove sysctl for irda_debug o Remove function tracing like uses (use ftrace instead) o Coalesce formats o Realign arguments o Remove unnecessary OOM messages Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-11-11irda: Remove IRDA_<TYPE> logging macrosJoe Perches1-21/+18
And use the more common mechanisms directly. Other miscellanea: o Coalesce formats o Add missing newlines o Realign arguments o Remove unnecessary OOM message logging as there's a generic stack dump already on OOM. 2013-12-06net/irda: Fix FSF address in file headersJeff Kirsher1-3/+1
Several files refer to an old address for the Free Software Foundation in the file header comment. Resolve by replacing the address with the URL <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/> so that we do not have to keep updating the header comments anytime the address changes. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
