2007-07-16remove CONFIG_UTS_NS and CONFIG_IPC_NSCedric Le Goater1-6/+2
CONFIG_UTS_NS and CONFIG_IPC_NS have very little value as they only deactivate the unshare of the uts and ipc namespaces and do not improve performance. 2006-11-03[PATCH] Fix ipc entries removalPavel Emelianov1-0/+12
Fix two issuses related to ipc_ids->entries freeing. 1. When freeing ipc namespace we need to free entries allocated with ipc_init_ids(). 2. When removing old entries in grow_ary() ipc_rcu_putref() may be called on entries set to &ids->nullentry earlier in ipc_init_ids(). This is almost impossible without namespaces, but with them this situation becomes possible. Found during OpenVZ testing after obvious leaks in beancounters. 2006-10-02[PATCH] IPC namespace - utilsKirill Korotaev1-3/+21
This patch adds basic IPC namespace functionality to IPC utils: - init_ipc_ns - copy/clone/unshare/free IPC ns - /proc preparations Signed-off-by: Pavel Emelianov <xemul@openvz.org> Signed-off-by: Kirill Korotaev <dev@openvz.org> Cc: "Eric W. 2006-03-26[PATCH] sem2mutex: ipc, id.semIngo Molnar1-2/+2
Semaphore to mutex conversion. The conversion was generated via scripts, and the result was validated automatically via a script as well. 2006-01-15correct email address of Manfred SpraulChristian Kujau1-1/+1
I tried to send the forcedeth maintainer an email, but it came back with: "The mail address manfreds@colorfullife.com is not read anymore. Please resent your mail to manfred@ instead of manfreds@." This patch fixes this. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de>
2005-09-07[PATCH] ipc: add generic struct ipc_ids seq_file iterationMike Waychison1-0/+8
The following two patches convert /proc/sysvipc/* to use seq_file. This gives us the following: - Self-consistent IPC records in proc. - O(n) reading of the files themselves. This patch: Add a generic method for ipc types to be displayed using seq_file. This patch abstracts out seq_file iterating over struct ipc_ids into ipc/util.c Signed-off-by: Mike Waychison <mikew@google.com> Cc: Manfred Spraul <manfred@colorfullife.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-07-12[PATCH] xtensa: remove old syscallsChris Zankel1-1/+1
This patch fixes some minor bugs introduced by the previous patch (remove old syscalls). Both patches remove the obsolete syscalls. The changes in this patch were suggested by Arnd Bergmann. The vmlinux.lds.S changes are required for the latest gcc/binutils. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
