2019-07-25RDMA: Make most headers compile stand aloneJason Gunthorpe1-0/+2
So that rdma can work with CONFIG_KERNEL_HEADER_TEST and CONFIG_HEADERS_CHECK. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20190722170126.GA16453@ziepe.ca Signed-off-by: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg@mellanox.com>
2018-07-30RDMA/core: Return bool instead of intParav Pandit1-2/+2
Return bool for following internal and inline functions as their underlying APIs return bool too. 1. cma_zero_addr() 2. cma_loopback_addr() 3. cma_any_addr() 4. ib_addr_any() 5. ib_addr_loopback() While we are touching cma_loopback_addr(), remove extra white spaces in it. 2017-03-02sched/headers: Prepare to remove <linux/cred.h> inclusion from <linux/sched.h>Ingo Molnar1-0/+1
Add #include <linux/cred.h> dependencies to all .c files rely on sched.h doing that for them. Note that even if the count where we need to add extra headers seems high, it's still a net win, because <linux/sched.h> is included in over 2,200 files ... 2016-04-28IB/security: Restrict use of the write() interfaceJason Gunthorpe1-0/+16
The drivers/infiniband stack uses write() as a replacement for bi-directional ioctl(). This is not safe. There are ways to trigger write calls that result in the return structure that is normally written to user space being shunted off to user specified kernel memory instead. For the immediate repair, detect and deny suspicious accesses to the write API. For long term, update the user space libraries and the kernel API to something that doesn't present the same security vulnerabilities (likely a structured ioctl() interface). The impacted uAPI interfaces are generally only available if hardware from drivers/infiniband is installed in the system.
