2020-09-20net: sctp: Fix IPv6 ancestor_size calc in sctp_copy_descendantHenry Ptasinski1-3/+5
When calculating ancestor_size with IPv6 enabled, simply using sizeof(struct ipv6_pinfo) doesn't account for extra bytes needed for alignment in the struct sctp6_sock. On x86, there aren't any extra bytes, but on ARM the ipv6_pinfo structure is aligned on an 8-byte boundary so there were 4 pad bytes that were omitted from the ancestor_size calculation. This would lead to corruption of the pd_lobby pointers, causing an oops when trying to free the sctp structure on socket close. 2020-02-29net: sctp: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array memberGustavo A. R. Silva1-1/+1
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2], introduced in C99: struct foo { int stuff; struct boo array[]; }; By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on. Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by this change: "Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1] This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle. 2019-11-08sctp: add support for Primary Path SwitchoverXin Long2-3/+10
This is a new feature defined in section 5 of rfc7829: "Primary Path Switchover". By introducing a new tunable parameter: Primary.Switchover.Max.Retrans (PSMR) The primary path will be changed to another active path when the path error counter on the old primary path exceeds PSMR, so that "the SCTP sender is allowed to continue data transmission on a new working path even when the old primary destination address becomes active again". This patch is to add this tunable parameter, 'ps_retrans' per netns, sock, asoc and transport. It also allows a user to change ps_retrans per netns by sysctl, and ps_retrans per sock/asoc/transport will be initialized with it. The check will be done in sctp_do_8_2_transport_strike() when this feature is enabled. Note this feature is disabled by initializing 'ps_retrans' per netns as 0xffff by default, and its value can't be less than 'pf_retrans' when changing by sysctl. v3->v4: - add define SCTP_PS_RETRANS_MAX 0xffff, and use it on extra2 of sysctl 'ps_retrans'. - add a new entry for ps_retrans on ip-sysctl.txt. 2019-11-08sctp: add pf_expose per netns and sock and asocXin Long2-0/+12
As said in rfc7829, section 3, point 12: The SCTP stack SHOULD expose the PF state of its destination addresses to the ULP as well as provide the means to notify the ULP of state transitions of its destination addresses from active to PF, and vice versa. However, it is recommended that an SCTP stack implementing SCTP-PF also allows for the ULP to be kept ignorant of the PF state of its destinations and the associated state transitions, thus allowing for retention of the simpler state transition model of [RFC4960] in the ULP. Not only does it allow to expose the PF state to ULP, but also allow to ignore sctp-pf to ULP. So this patch is to add pf_expose per netns, sock and asoc. And in sctp_assoc_control_transport(), ulp_notify will be set to false if asoc->expose is not 'enabled' in next patch. It also allows a user to change pf_expose per netns by sysctl, and pf_expose per sock and asoc will be initialized with it. Note that pf_expose also works for SCTP_GET_PEER_ADDR_INFO sockopt, to not allow a user to query the state of a sctp-pf peer address when pf_expose is 'disabled', as said in section 7.3. v1->v2: - Fix a build warning noticed by Nathan Chancellor. v2->v3: - set pf_expose to UNUSED by default to keep compatible with old applications. v3->v4: - add a new entry for pf_expose on ip-sysctl.txt, as Marcelo suggested. - change this patch to 1/5, and move sctp_assoc_control_transport change into 2/5, as Marcelo suggested. - use SCTP_PF_EXPOSE_UNSET instead of SCTP_PF_EXPOSE_UNUSED, and set SCTP_PF_EXPOSE_UNSET to 0 in enum, as Marcelo suggested. However, 'newsk' sk_socket is not set until [3], while selinux_sctp_bind_connect() would deref it, then kernel crashed. Here to fix it by adding the chunk to sk_backlog until newsk sk_socket is set when .accept() is done. Note that sk->sk_socket can be NULL when the sock is closed, so SOCK_DEAD flag is also needed to check in sctp_newsk_ready(). Thanks to Ondrej for reviewing the code. In sctp_eat_data(), it's not enough to check sctp_memory_pressure only, which doesn't work for mem_cgroup_sockets_enabled, so we change to use sk_under_memory_pressure(). When it's under memory pressure, sk_mem_reclaim() and sk_rmem_schedule() should be called on both RENEGE or CHUNK DELIVERY path exit the memory pressure status as soon as possible. Note that sk_rmem_schedule() is using datalen to make things easy there. 2019-03-18sctp: get sctphdr by offset in sctp_compute_cksumXin Long1-1/+1
sctp_hdr(skb) only works when skb->transport_header is set properly. But in Netfilter, skb->transport_header for ipv6 is not guaranteed to be right value for sctphdr. It would cause to fail to check the checksum for sctp packets. So fix it by using offset, which is always right in all places. v1->v2: - Fix the changelog. This also makes sctp_stream_alloc_(out|in) saner, in that they no longer allocate new flex_arrays/genradixes, they just preallocate more elements. 2018-12-09Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/netDavid S. Miller2-0/+7
Several conflicts, seemingly all over the place. I used Stephen Rothwell's sample resolutions for many of these, if not just to double check my own work, so definitely the credit largely goes to him. The NFP conflict consisted of a bug fix (moving operations past the rhashtable operation) while chaning the initial argument in the function call in the moved code. The net/dsa/master.c conflict had to do with a bug fix intermixing of making dsa_master_set_mtu() static with the fixing of the tagging attribute location. cls_flower had a conflict because the dup reject fix from Or overlapped with the addition of port range classifiction. __set_phy_supported()'s conflict was relatively easy to resolve because Andrew fixed it in both trees, so it was just a matter of taking the net-next copy. Or at least I think it was :-) Joe Stringer's fix to the handling of netns id 0 in bpf_sk_lookup() intermixed with changes on how the sdif and caller_net are calculated in these code paths in net-next. The remaining BPF conflicts were largely about the addition of the __bpf_md_ptr stuff in 'net' overlapping with adjustments and additions to the relevant data structure where the MD pointer macros are used. 2018-12-05sctp: frag_point sanity checkJakub Audykowicz1-0/+5
If for some reason an association's fragmentation point is zero, sctp_datamsg_from_user will try to endlessly try to divide a message into zero-sized chunks. This eventually causes kernel panic due to running out of memory. Although this situation is quite unlikely, it has occurred before as reported. I propose to add this simple last-ditch sanity check due to the severity of the potential consequences. 2018-12-03sctp: kfree_rcu asocXin Long1-0/+2
In sctp_hash_transport/sctp_epaddr_lookup_transport, it dereferences a transport's asoc under rcu_read_lock while asoc is freed not after a grace period, which leads to a use-after-free panic. This patch fixes it by calling kfree_rcu to make asoc be freed after a grace period. Note that only the asoc's memory is delayed to free in the patch, it won't cause sk to linger longer. This reverts commit 22d7be267eaa8114dcc28d66c1c347f667d7878a. The dst's mtu in transport can be updated by a non sctp place like in xfrm where the MTU information didn't get synced between asoc, transport and dst, so it is still needed to do the pmtu check in sctp_packet_config. 2018-11-19sctp: define subscribe in sctp_sock as __u16Xin Long2-16/+25
The member subscribe in sctp_sock is used to indicate to which of the events it is subscribed, more like a group of flags. So it's better to be defined as __u16 (2 bytpes), instead of struct sctp_event_subscribe (13 bytes). Note that sctp_event_subscribe is an UAPI struct, used on sockopt calls, and thus it will not be removed. This patch only changes the internal storage of the flags. 2018-11-12sctp: add sock_reuseport for the sock in __sctp_hash_endpointXin Long2-1/+3
This is a part of sk_reuseport support for sctp. It defines a helper sctp_bind_addrs_check() to check if the bind_addrs in two socks are matched. It will add sock_reuseport if they are completely matched, and return err if they are partly matched, and alloc sock_reuseport if all socks are not matched at all. It will work until sk_reuseport support is added in sctp_get_port_local() in the next patch. v1->v2: - use 'laddr->valid && laddr2->valid' check instead as Marcelo pointed in sctp_bind_addrs_check(). 2018-11-08net: Convert protocol error handlers from void to intStefano Brivio1-1/+1
We'll need this to handle ICMP errors for tunnels without a sending socket (i.e. FoU and GUE). There, we might have to look up different types of IP tunnels, registered as network protocols, before we get a match, so we want this for the error handlers of IPPROTO_IPIP and IPPROTO_IPV6 in both inet_protos and inet6_protos. These error codes will be used in the next patch. For consistency, return sensible error codes in protocol error handlers whenever handlers can't handle errors because, even if valid, they don't match a protocol or any of its states. 2018-10-18sctp: count both sk and asoc sndbuf with skb truesize and sctp_chunk sizeXin Long1-5/+0
Now it's confusing that asoc sndbuf_used is doing memory accounting with SCTP_DATA_SNDSIZE(chunk) + sizeof(sk_buff) + sizeof(sctp_chunk) while sk sk_wmem_alloc is doing that with skb->truesize + sizeof(sctp_chunk). It also causes sctp_prsctp_prune to count with a wrong freed memory when sndbuf_policy is not set. To make this right and also keep consistent between asoc sndbuf_used, sk sk_wmem_alloc and sk_wmem_queued, use skb->truesize + sizeof(sctp_chunk) for them.
