2017-08-20media: Convert to using %pOF instead of full_nameRob Herring1-2/+2
Now that we have a custom printf format specifier, convert users of full_name to use %pOF instead. This is preparation to remove storing of the full path string for each node. 2015-11-17[media] v4l2-clk: add new definition: V4L2_CLK_NAME_SIZEJosh Wu1-0/+2
Make all v4l2-clk's clock name use V4L2_CLK_NAME_SIZE definition. In future, if the string is increased we just need to change the V4L2_CLK_NAME_SIZE once. 2015-04-02[media] V4L: add CCF support to the v4l2_clk APIGuennadi Liakhovetski1-0/+2
V4L2 clocks, e.g. used by camera sensors for their master clock, do not have to be supplied by a different V4L2 driver, they can also be supplied by an independent source. In this case the standart kernel clock API should be used to handle such clocks. This patch adds support for such cases. 2015-04-02[media] V4L: remove clock name from v4l2_clk APIGuennadi Liakhovetski1-5/+3
All uses of the v4l2_clk API so far only register one clock with a fixed name. This allows us to get rid of it, which also will make CCF and DT integration easier. 2013-10-31[media] V4L2: add a v4l2-clk helper macro to produce an I2C device IDGuennadi Liakhovetski1-0/+3
To obtain a clock reference consumers supply their device object to the V4L2 clock framework. The latter then uses the consumer device name to find a matching clock. For that to work V4L2 clock providers have to provide the same device name, when registering clocks. This patch adds a helper macro to generate a suitable device name for I2C devices. 2013-06-21[media] V4L2: add temporary clock helpersGuennadi Liakhovetski1-0/+54
Typical video devices like camera sensors require an external clock source. Many such devices cannot even access their hardware registers without a running clock. These clock sources should be controlled by their consumers. This should be performed, using the generic clock framework. Unfortunately so far only very few systems have been ported to that framework. This patch adds a set of temporary helpers, mimicking the generic clock API, to V4L2. Platforms, adopting the clock API, should switch to using it. Eventually this temporary API should be removed.
