2020-08-23treewide: Use fallthrough pseudo-keywordGustavo A. R. Silva1-9/+9
Replace the existing /* fall through */ comments and its variants with the new pseudo-keyword macro fallthrough[1]. Also, remove unnecessary fall-through markings when it is the case. 2020-06-15afs: Fix the mapping of the UAEOVERFLOW abort codeDavid Howells1-0/+1
Abort code UAEOVERFLOW is returned when we try and set a time that's out of range, but it's currently mapped to EREMOTEIO by the default case. Fix UAEOVERFLOW to map instead to EOVERFLOW. Found with the generic/258 xfstest. Note that the test is wrong as it assumes that the filesystem will support a pre-UNIX-epoch date. 2019-04-08afs: Mark expected switch fall-throughsGustavo A. R. Silva1-0/+9
In preparation to enabling -Wimplicit-fallthrough, mark switch cases where we are expecting to fall through. Notice that in many cases I placed a /* Fall through */ comment at the bottom of the case, which what GCC is expecting to find. In other cases I had to tweak a bit the format of the comments. 2018-11-29afs: Fix missing net error handlingDavid Howells1-0/+52
kAFS can be given certain network errors (EADDRNOTAVAIL, EHOSTDOWN and ERFKILL) that it doesn't handle in its server/address rotation algorithms. They cause the probing and rotation to abort immediately rather than rotating. Fix this by: (1) Abstracting out the error prioritisation from the VL and FS rotation algorithms into a common function and expand usage into the server probing code. When multiple errors are available, this code selects the one we'd prefer to return. (2) Add handling for EADDRNOTAVAIL, EHOSTDOWN and ERFKILL. 2017-11-13afs: Consolidate abort_to_error translatorsDavid Howells1-4/+34
The AFS abort code space is shared across all services, so there's no need for separate abort_to_error translators for each service. Consolidate them into a single function and remove the function pointers for them. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com>
2017-07-21rxrpc: Move the packet.h include file into net/rxrpc/David Howells1-1/+0
Move the protocol description header file into net/rxrpc/ and rename it to protocol.h. It's no longer necessary to expose it as packets are no longer exposed to kernel services (such as AFS) that use the facility. The abort codes are transferred to the UAPI header instead as we pass these back to userspace and also to kernel services. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com>
2017-03-16afs: Invalid op ID should abort with RXGEN_OPCODEDavid Howells1-0/+2
When we are given an invalid operation ID, we should abort that with RXGEN_OPCODE rather than RX_INVALID_OPERATION. Also map RXGEN_OPCODE to -ENOTSUPP. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com>
2015-04-01kafs: Add more "unified AFS" error codesNathaniel Wesley Filardo1-1/+15

2009-06-16AFS: Correctly translate auth error aborts and don't failover in such casesDavid Howells1-0/+16
Authentication error abort codes should be translated to appropriate Linux error codes, rather than all being translated to EREMOTEIO - which indicates that the server had internal problems. Additionally, a server shouldn't be marked unavailable and the next server tried if an authentication error occurs. This will quickly make all the servers unavailable to the client. Instead the error should be returned straight to the user. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

2007-05-09AFS: AFS fixupsDavid Howells1-0/+1
Make some miscellaneous changes to the AFS filesystem: (1) Assert RCU barriers on module exit to make sure RCU has finished with callbacks in this module. (2) Correctly handle the AFS server returning a zero-length read. (3) Split out data zapping calls into one function (afs_zap_data). (4) Rename some afs_file_*() functions to afs_*() where they apply to non-regular files too. (5) Be consistent about the presentation of volume ID:vnode ID in debugging output. 2007-04-26[AFS]: Add "directory write" support.David Howells1-1/+20
Add support for the create, link, symlink, unlink, mkdir, rmdir and rename VFS operations to the in-kernel AFS filesystem. Also: (1) Fix dentry and inode revalidation. d_revalidate should only look at state of the dentry. Revalidation of the contents of an inode pointed to by a dentry is now separate. (2) Fix afs_lookup() to hash negative dentries as well as positive ones. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
