* removed several pieces of dead code in lustre_compat25.h
* don't open-code current_umask() (and BTW, 0755 & (S_IRWXUGO | S_ISVTX)
is better spelled as 0755)
* fix broken attempt to get the pathname by dentry - abusing d_path() for
that is simply wrong.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc
Pull ARM SoC/iommu configuration update from Arnd Bergmann:
"The iomm-config branch contains work from Will Deacon, quoting his
description:
This series adds automatic IOMMU and DMA-mapping configuration for
OF-based DMA masters described using the generic IOMMU devicetree
bindings. Although there is plenty of future work around splitting up
iommu_ops, adding default IOMMU domains and sorting out automatic IOMMU
group creation for the platform_bus, this is already useful enough for
people to port over their IOMMU drivers and start using the new probing
infrastructure (indeed, Marek has patches queued for the Exynos IOMMU).
The branch touches core ARM and IOMMU driver files, and the respective
maintainers (Russell King and Joerg Roedel) agreed to have the
contents merged through the arm-soc tree.
The final version was ready just before the merge window, so we ended
up delaying it a bit longer than the rest, but we don't expect to see
regressions because this is just additional infrastructure that will
get used in drivers starting in 3.20 but is unused so far"

The Exynos IOMMU driver uses the ARM specific dmac_flush_range() and
outer_flush_range() functions. This breaks the build on arm64 allmodconfig
in -next since support has been merged for some Exynos ARMv8 SoCs. Add a
dependency on ARM to keep things building until either the driver has the
ARM dependencies removed or the ARMv8 architecture code implements these
ARM specific APIs.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging
Pull staging driver updates from Greg KH:
"Here's the big staging tree pull request for 3.19-rc1.
We continued to delete more lines than were added, always a good
thing, but not at a huge rate this release, only about 70k lines
removed overall mostly from removing the horrid bcm driver.
Lots of normal staging driver cleanups and fixes all over the place,
well over a thousand of them, the shortlog shows all the horrid
details.
The "contentious" thing here is the movement of the Android binder
code out of staging into the "real" part of the kernel. This is code
that has been stable for a few years now and is working as-is in the
tens of millions of devices with no issues. Yes, the code is horrid,
and the userspace api leaves a lot to be desired, but it's not going
to change due to legacy issues that we have no control over. Because
so many devices and companies rely on this, and the code is stable,
might as well promote it out of staging.
This was all discussed at the Linux Plumbers conference, and everyone
participating agreed that this was the best way forward.
There is work happening to replace the binder code with something new
that is happening right now, but I don't expect to see the results of
that work for another year at the earliest. If that ever happens, and
Android switches over to it, I'll gladly remove this version.
As for maintainers, I'll be glad to maintain this code, I've been
doing it for the past few years with no problems. I'll send a
MAINTAINERS entry for it before 3.19-final is out, still need to talk
to the Google developers about if they are willing to help with it or
not, last I checked they were, which was good.
All of these patches have been in linux-next for a while with no
reported issues"

Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie:
"Highlights:
- AMD KFD driver merge
This is the AMD HSA interface for exposing a lowlevel interface for
GPGPU use. They have an open source userspace built on top of this
interface, and the code looks as good as it was going to get out of
tree.
- Initial atomic modesetting work
The need for an atomic modesetting interface to allow userspace to
try and send a complete set of modesetting state to the driver has
arisen, and been suffering from neglect this past year. No more,
the start of the common code and changes for msm driver to use it
are in this tree. Ongoing work to get the userspace ioctl finished
and the code clean will probably wait until next kernel.
- DisplayID 1.3 and tiled monitor exposed to userspace.
Tiled monitor property is now exposed for userspace to make use of.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-gpio
Pull take two of the GPIO updates:
"Same stuff as last time, now with a fixup patch for the previous
compile error plus I ran a few extra rounds of compile-testing.
This is the bulk of GPIO changes for the v3.19 series:
- A new API that allows setting more than one GPIO at the time. This
is implemented for the new descriptor-based API only and makes it
possible to e.g. toggle a clock and data line at the same time, if
the hardware can do this with a single register write. Both
consumers and drivers need new calls, and the core will fall back
to driving individual lines where needed. Implemented for the
MPC8xxx driver initially
- Patched the mdio-mux-gpio and the serial mctrl driver that drives
modems to use the new multiple-setting API to set several signals
simultaneously
- Get rid of the global GPIO descriptor array, and instead allocate
descriptors dynamically for each GPIO on a certain GPIO chip. This
moves us closer to getting rid of the limitation of using the
global, static GPIO numberspace
- New driver and device tree bindings for 74xx ICs
- New driver and device tree bindings for the VF610 Vybrid
- Support the RCAR r8a7793 and r8a7794
- Guidelines for GPIO device tree bindings trying to get things a bit
more strict with the advent of combined device properties
- Suspend/resume support for the MVEBU driver
- A slew of minor fixes and improvements"

In current zram, we use DEVICE_ATTR() to define sys device attributes.
SO, we need to set (S_IRUGO | S_IWUSR) permission and other arguments
manually. Linux already provids the macro DEVICE_ATTR_[RW|RO|WO] to
define sys device attribute. It is simple and readable.
This patch uses kernel defined macro DEVICE_ATTR_[RW|RO|WO] to define
zram device attribute.

In struct zram_table_entry, the element *value* contains obj size and obj
zram flags. Bit 0 to bit (ZRAM_FLAG_SHIFT - 1) represent obj size, and
bit ZRAM_FLAG_SHIFT to the highest bit of unsigned long represent obj
zram_flags. So the first zram flag(ZRAM_ZERO) should be from
ZRAM_FLAG_SHIFT instead of (ZRAM_FLAG_SHIFT + 1).
This patch fixes this cosmetic issue.

This patch implements rw_page operation for zram block device.
I implemented the feature in zram and tested it. Test bed was the G2, LG
electronic mobile device, whtich has msm8974 processor and 2GB memory.
With a memory allocation test program consuming memory, the system
generates swap.
Operating time of swap_write_page() was measured.
--------------------------------------------------
| | operating time | improvement |
| | (20 runs average) | |
--------------------------------------------------
|with patch | 1061.15 us | +2.4% |
--------------------------------------------------
|without patch| 1087.35 us | |
--------------------------------------------------
Each test(with paged_io,with BIO) result set shows normal distribution and
has equal variance. I mean the two values are valid result to compare. I
can say operation with paged I/O(without BIO) is faster 2.4% with
confidence level 95%.

Recently rw_page block device operation has been added. This patchset
implements rw_page operation for zram block device and does some clean-up.
This patch (of 3):
Remove an unnecessary parameter(bio) from zram_bvec_rw() and
zram_bvec_read(). zram_bvec_read() doesn't use a bio parameter, so remove
it. zram_bvec_rw() calls a read/write operation not using bio, so a rw
parameter replaces a bio parameter.

The slab shrinkers are currently invoked from the zonelist walkers in
kswapd, direct reclaim, and zone reclaim, all of which roughly gauge the
eligible LRU pages and assemble a nodemask to pass to NUMA-aware
shrinkers, which then again have to walk over the nodemask. This is
redundant code, extra runtime work, and fairly inaccurate when it comes to
the estimation of actually scannable LRU pages. The code duplication will
only get worse when making the shrinkers cgroup-aware and requiring them
to have out-of-band cgroup hierarchy walks as well.
Instead, invoke the shrinkers from shrink_zone(), which is where all
reclaimers end up, to avoid this duplication.
Take the count for eligible LRU pages out of get_scan_count(), which
considers many more factors than just the availability of swap space, like
zone_reclaimable_pages() currently does. Accumulate the number over all
visited lruvecs to get the per-zone value.
Some nodes have multiple zones due to memory addressing restrictions. To
avoid putting too much pressure on the shrinkers, only invoke them once
for each such node, using the class zone of the allocation as the pivot
zone.
For now, this integrates the slab shrinking better into the reclaim logic
and gets rid of duplicative invocations from kswapd, direct reclaim, and
zone reclaim. It also prepares for cgroup-awareness, allowing
memcg-capable shrinkers to be added at the lruvec level without much
duplication of both code and runtime work.
This changes kswapd behavior, which used to invoke the shrinkers for each
zone, but with scan ratios gathered from the entire node, resulting in
meaningless pressure quantities on multi-zone nodes.
Zone reclaim behavior also changes. It used to shrink slabs until the
same amount of pages were shrunk as were reclaimed from the LRUs. Now it
merely invokes the shrinkers once with the zone's scan ratio, which makes
the shrinkers go easier on caches that implement aging and would prefer
feeding back pressure from recently used slab objects to unused LRU pages.

This could be useful for debug in the future if we want to track
major/minor faults more closely, and also avoids the put_page trick we
used with gup.
In order to do this, we also track the task struct in the PASID state
structure. This lets us update the appropriate task stats after the fault
has been handled, and may aid with debug in the future as well.

replaces SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS with direct declaration of snvs_rtc_pm_ops,

When issuing a MAPD command, one of the parameters passed to the ITS
is the number of EventID bits used to index the per-device Interrupt
Translation Table (ITT). Crucially, this is the number of bits
*minus one*.
This has two consequences:
- The size of the ITT has to be a strict power of two, no matter
how many different events the device is actually going to generate.
- It is impossible to express an ITT with a single entry, as you
would have to tell the ITS to "use zero bit from the EventID",
and that clashes with "minus one" above.
Fix this by allocating the ITT with the number of vectors rounded up
to the next power of two, with a minimum of two entries.

"Here's my set of accumulated documentation changes for 3.19.
It includes a couple of additions to the coding style document, some
fixes for minor build problems within the documentation tree, the
relocation of the kselftest docs, and various tweaks and additions.
A couple of changes reach outside of Documentation/; they only make
trivial comment changes and I did my best to get the required acks.
Complete with a shiny signed tag this time around"

The string "IOMEGA Clik!" has length 12, not 11. Using strstarts
avoids the error-prone hardcoding of the prefix length. For
consistency, also change the occurence just above.

The module_put() function tests whether its argument is NULL and then
returns immediately. Thus the test around the call is not needed.
This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

gem devices designed with multiqueue CANNOT work without this patch.
When probing a gem device, the driver must first prepare and enable the
peripheral clock before accessing I/O registers. The second step is to read the
MID register to find whether the device is a gem or an old macb IP.
For gem devices, it reads the Design Configuration Register 6 (DCFG6) to
compute to total number of queues, whereas macb devices always have a single
queue.
Only then it can call alloc_etherdev_mq() with the correct number of queues.
This is the reason why the order of some initializations has been changed in
macb_probe().
Eventually, the dedicated IRQ and TX ring buffer descriptors are initialized
for each queue.
For backward compatibility reasons, queue0 uses the legacy registers ISR, IER,
IDR, IMR, TBQP and RBQP. On the other hand, the other queues use new registers
ISR[1..7], IER[1..7], IDR[1..7], IMR[1..7], TBQP[1..7] and RBQP[1..7].
Except this hardware detail there is no real difference between queue0 and the
others. The driver hides that thanks to the struct macb_queue.
This structure allows us to share a common set of functions for all the queues.
Besides when a TX error occurs, the gem MUST be halted before writing any of
the TBQP registers to reset the relevant queue. An immediate side effect is
that the other queues too aren't processed anymore by the gem.
So macb_tx_error_task() calls netif_tx_stop_all_queues() to notify the Linux
network engine that all transmissions are stopped.
Also macb_tx_error_task() now calls spin_lock_irqsave() to prevent the
interrupt handlers of the other queues from running as each of them may wake
its associated queue up (please refer to macb_tx_interrupt()).
Finally, as all queues have previously been stopped, they should be restarted
calling netif_tx_start_all_queues() and setting the TSTART bit into the Network
Control Register. Before this patch, when dealing with a single queue, the
driver used to defer the reset of the faulting queue and the write of the
TSTART bit until the next call of macb_start_xmit().
As explained before, this bit is now set by macb_tx_error_task() too. That's
why the faulting queue MUST be reset by setting the TX_USED bit in its first
buffer descriptor before writing the TSTART bit.
Queue 0 always exits and is the lowest priority when other queues are available.
The higher the index of the queue is, the higher its priority is.
When transmitting frames, the TX queue is selected by the skb->queue_mapping
value. So queue discipline can be used to define the queue priority policy.
