2014-05-20of: consolidate linker section OF match table declarationsRob Herring2-5/+4
We now have several OF match tables using linker sections that are nearly the same definition. The only variation is the callback function prototype. Create a common define for creating linker section OF match table entries which each table declaration can use. 2014-05-20clk: ti: add missing semi-colon on CLK_OF_DECLARERob Herring1-1/+1
With common OF_DECLARE macros, a semi-colon will be required for CLK_OF_DECLARE. Add the missing semi-colon to ti,gate-clock. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Acked-by: Mike Turquette <mturquette@linaro.org>

2014-05-20clk: sunxi: fix function type for CLK_OF_DECLARERob Herring1-1/+1
Adding function type checking to CLK_OF_DECLARE found a type mismatch with sunxi_init_clocks. The function takes a single struct device_node parameter. 2014-05-20clk: sunxi: avoid double DT matchingRob Herring1-2/+1
Use for_each_matching_node_and_match instead of for_each_matching_node plus of_match_node to avoid searching the DT twice for each node. The sunxi DT scanning code should really be re-worked rather than have its own private matching infrastructure. It is working around needing a function pointer and a data pointer for each compatible match. 2014-05-20of: align RESERVEDMEM_OF_DECLARE function callbacks to other callbacksRob Herring1-1/+1
All the parameters for RESERVEDMEM_OF_DECLARE function callbacks are members of struct reserved_mem, so just pass the struct ptr to callback functions so the function callback is more in line with other OF match table callbacks. 2014-05-13of: kill off of_can_translate_addressRob Herring2-24/+3
of_can_translate_address only checks some conditions for address translation, but does not check other conditions like having range properties. The checks it does do are redundant with __of_address_translate. The only difference is printing a message or not. Since we only have a single caller that does the full translation anyway, just remove of_can_translate_address and quiet the error message. 2014-05-13of/platform: fix device naming for non-translatable addressesRob Herring1-10/+1
Using non-translatable addresses in platform device names is wrong because they may not be globally unique. Just use the default naming with a global index if the address cannot be translated instead. of_can_translate_address has the same checks as of_translate_address, so we can remove it here as well. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip Pull x86 fixes from Peter Anvin: "A somewhat unpleasantly large collection of small fixes. The big ones are the __visible tree sweep and a fix for 'earlyprintk=efi, keep'. It was using __init functions with predictably suboptimal results. Another key fix is a build fix which would produce output that simply would not decompress correctly in some configuration, due to the existing Makefiles picking up an unfortunate local label and mistaking it for the global symbol _end. Additional fixes include the handling of 64-bit numbers when setting the vdso data page (a latent bug which became manifest when i386 started exporting a vdso with time functions), a fix to the new MSR manipulation accessors which would cause features to not get properly unblocked, a build fix for 32-bit userland, and a few new platform quirks" * 'x86-urgent-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip: x86, vdso, time: Cast tv_nsec to u64 for proper shifting in update_vsyscall() x86: Fix typo in MSR_IA32_MISC_ENABLE_LIMIT_CPUID macro x86: Fix typo preventing msr_set/clear_bit from having an effect x86/intel: Add quirk to disable HPET for the Baytrail platform x86/hpet: Make boot_hpet_disable extern x86-64, build: Fix stack protector Makefile breakage with 32-bit userland x86/reboot: Add reboot quirk for Certec BPC600 asmlinkage: Add explicit __visible to drivers/*, lib/*, kernel/* asmlinkage, x86: Add explicit __visible to arch/x86/* asmlinkage: Revert "lto: Make asmlinkage __visible" x86, build: Don't get confused by local symbols x86/efi: earlyprintk=efi, keep fix

This reverts commit c42deffd5b53c9e583d83c7964854ede2f12410d. commit <mmc: rtsx: add support for pre_req and post_req> did use mutex_unlock() in tasklet, but mutex_unlock() can't be used in tasklet(atomic context). The driver needs to use mutex to avoid concurrency, so we can't use tasklet here, the patch need to be removed. The spinlock host->lock and pcr->lock may deadlock, one way to solve the deadlock is remove host->lock in sd_isr_done_transfer(), but if using workqueue the we can avoid using the spinlock and also avoid the problem. 2014-05-05net: macb: Fix race between HW and driverSoren Brinkmann1-10/+0
Under "heavy" RX load, the driver cannot handle the descriptors fast enough. In detail, when a descriptor is consumed, its used flag is cleared and once the RX budget is consumed all descriptors with a cleared used flag are prepared to receive more data. Under load though, the HW may constantly receive more data and use those descriptors with a cleared used flag before they are actually prepared for next usage. The head and tail pointers into the RX-ring should always be valid and we can omit clearing and checking of the used flag. Coverage data suggests that the unlikely case of receiving data while the receive handler is running may not be that unlikely. Coverage data after running iperf for a while: 91320: 891: work_done = bp->macbgem_ops.mog_rx(bp, budget); 91320: 892: if (work_done < budget) { 2362: 893: napi_complete(napi); -: 894: -: 895: /* Packets received while interrupts were disabled */ 4724: 896: status = macb_readl(bp, RSR); 2362: 897: if (unlikely(status)) { 762: 898: if (bp->caps & MACB_CAPS_ISR_CLEAR_ON_WRITE) 762: 899: macb_writel(bp, ISR, MACB_BIT(RCOMP)); -: 900: napi_reschedule(napi); -: 901: } else { 1600: 902: macb_writel(bp, IER, MACB_RX_INT_FLAGS); -: 903: } -: 904: } Signed-off-by: Soren Brinkmann <soren.brinkmann@xilinx.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-05-05net: macb: Re-enable RX interrupt only when RX is doneSoren Brinkmann1-7/+6
When data is received during the driver processing received data the NAPI is re-scheduled. In that case the RX interrupt should not be re-enabled. Signed-off-by: Soren Brinkmann <soren.brinkmann@xilinx.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-05-05net: macb: Clear interrupt flagsSoren Brinkmann1-0/+10
A few interrupt flags were not cleared in the ISR, resulting in a sytem trapped in the ISR in cases one of those interrupts occurred. Clear all flags to avoid such situations. Signed-off-by: Soren Brinkmann <soren.brinkmann@xilinx.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
