Merge crypto-2.6 to pick up NEON yield revert.
|
|
Should the PSP initialization fail, the PSP data structure will be
freed and the value contained in the sp_device struct set to NULL.
At module unload, psp_dev_destroy() does not check if the pointer
value is NULL and will end up dereferencing a NULL pointer.
Add a pointer check of the psp_data field in the sp_device struct
in psp_dev_destroy() and return immediately if it is NULL.

The ccree driver had a sanity check that we are not asked
to encrypt an XTS buffer bigger than a sane sector size
since XTS IV needs to include the sector number in the IV
so this is not expected in any real use case.
Unfortunately, this breaks cryptsetup benchmark test which
has a synthetic performance test using 64k buffer of data
with the same IV.
Remove the sanity check and allow the user to hang themselves
and/or run benchmarks if they so wish.

In certain error path req_ctx->iv was being freed despite
not being allocated because it was not initialized to NULL.
Rather than play whack a mole with the structure various
field, zero it before use.
This fixes a kernel panic that may occur if an invalid
buffer size was requested triggering the bug above.

This accelerator is found inside hisilicon hip06 and hip07 SoCs.
Each instance provides a number of queues which feed a different number of
backend acceleration units.
The queues are operating in an out of order mode in the interests of
throughput. The silicon does not do tracking of dependencies between
multiple 'messages' or update of the IVs as appropriate for training.
Hence where relevant we need to do this in software.

"In reaction to the fixes to address CVE-2018-1108, some Linux
distributions that have certain systemd versions in some cases
combined with patches to libcrypt for FIPS/FEDRAMP compliance, have
led to boot-time stalls for some hardware.
The reaction by some distros and Linux sysadmins has been to install
packages that try to do complicated things with the CPU and hope that
leads to randomness.

This can be fixed by assigning anonymous VMAs own vm_ops and not relying
on it being NULL.
If ->mmap() failed to set ->vm_ops, mmap_region() will set it to
dummy_vm_ops. This way we will have non-NULL ->vm_ops for all VMAs.

git://git.pengutronix.de/git/pza/linux into drm-fixes
drm/imx: imx-drm ldb and ipu-v3 csi fixes
- Disable the LVDS Display Bridge (LDB) on driver bind. This is
necessary to guarantee correct LVDS signals in case the bootloader
left the LVDS output active.
- Remove false positive warning about disabled second LVDS channel in
dual-channel mode. In this mode, the second LVDS channel can not be
used separately. If the second channel is correctly described as
disabled in the device tree, the driver warned about this anyway.
- Fix the CSI confiuration to not only enable interlaced capture mode
for V4L2_FIELD_SEQ_BT and V4L2_FIELD_SEQ_TB, but also for the
V4L2_FIELD_ALTERNATE interlacing mode. Before, it incorrectly tried
to capture progressive frames in that case.

When an fatal error is received by a non-bridge device, the device is
removed, and pci_stop_and_remove_bus_device() deallocates the device
structure. The freed device structure is used by subsequent code to send
uevents and print messages.
Hold a reference on the device until we're finished using it. This is not
an ideal fix because pcie_do_fatal_recovery() should not use the device at
all after removing it, but that's too big a project for right now.

On GLK NUC platforms the HDMI retiming buffer needs additional disabled
time to correctly sync to a faster incoming signal.
When measured on a scope the highspeed lines of the HDMI clock turn off
for ~400uS during a normal resolution change. The HDMI retimer on the
GLK NUC appears to require at least a full frame of quiet time before a
new faster clock can be correctly sync'd. Wait 100ms due to msleep
inaccuracies while waiting for a completed frame. Add a quirk to the
driver for GLK boards that use ITE66317 HDMI retimers.

check introduced in v4.

Rx hash/filter table configuration uses rss_conf_obj to configure filters
in the hardware. This object is initialized only when the interface is
brought up.
This patch adds driver changes to configure rss params only when the device
is in opened state. In port disabled case, the config will be cached in the
driver structure which will be applied in the successive load path.
Please consider applying it to 'net' branch.

Function mlx4_RST2INIT_QP_wrapper saved the qp number passed in the qp
context, rather than the one passed in the input modifier.
However, the qp number in the qp context is not defined as a
required parameter by the FW. Therefore, drivers may choose to not
specify the qp number in the qp context for the reset-to-init transition.
Thus, we must save the qp number passed in the command input modifier --
which is always present. (This saved qp number is used as the input
modifier for command 2RST_QP when a slave's qp's are destroyed).

Commit 7edf6d314cd0 tried to resolve an inconsistency (BIOS WoL
settings are accepted, but device isn't wakeup-enabled) resulting
from a previous broken-BIOS workaround by making disabled WoL the
default.
This however had some side effects, most likely due to a broken BIOS
some systems don't properly resume from suspend when the MagicPacket
WoL bit isn't set in the chip, see
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200195
Therefore restore the WoL behavior from 4.16.

The scsi block layer requires requests claimed by the error handling be
completed by the error handler. A previous commit allowed completions
to proceed for blk-mq, breaking that assumption.
This patch prevents completions that may race with the timeout handler
by marking the state to complete, restoring the previous behavior.

Including asm/cacheflush.h first results in the following build error
when trying to build sparc32:allmodconfig, because 'struct page' has not
been declared, and the function declaration ends up creating a separate
(private) declaration of struct page (as a result of function arguments
being in the scope of the function declaration and definition, not in
global scope).
The C scoping rules do not just affect variable visibility, they also
affect type declaration visibility.
The end result is that when the actual call site is seen in
<linux/highmem.h>, the 'struct page' type in the caller is not the same
'struct page' that the function was declared with, resulting in:
In file included from arch/sparc/include/asm/page.h:10:0,

from drivers/staging/media/omap4iss/iss_video.c:15:
include/linux/highmem.h: In function 'clear_user_highpage':
include/linux/highmem.h:137:31: error:
passing argument 1 of 'sparc_flush_page_to_ram' from incompatible
pointer type

On Gen3, we can only do RXDMA once per transfer reliably. For that, we
must reset the device, then we can have RXDMA once. This patch
implements this. When there is no reset controller or the reset fails,
RXDMA will be blocked completely. Otherwise, it will be disabled after
the first RXDMA transfer. Based on a commit from the BSP by Hiromitsu
Yamasaki, yet completely refactored to handle multiple read messages
within one transfer.
