2022-04-20staging: Remove the drivers for the Unisys s-ParFabio M. De Francesco1-1691/+0
The Unisys sub-tree of drivers/staging contains three drivers for the "Unisys Secure Partition" (s-Par(R)): visorhba, visorinput, visornic. They have no maintainers, in fact the only one that is listed in MAINTAINERS has an unreacheable email address. During 2021 and 2022 several patches have been submitted to these drivers but nobody at Unisys cared of reviewing the changes. Probably, also the "sparmaintainer" internal list of unisys.com is not anymore read by interested Unisys' engineers. Therefore, remove the drivers/staging/unisys directory and delete the relevant entries in the MAINTAINERS, Kconfig, Makefile files, then remove also the drivers/visorbus directory which is not anymore needed (it contained the driver for the virtualized bus for the Unisys s-Par firmware). 2021-06-04visorbus: fix error return code in visorchipset_init()Zhen Lei1-2/+4
Commit 1366a3db3dcf ("staging: unisys: visorbus: visorchipset_init clean up gotos") assigns the initial value -ENODEV to the local variable 'err', and the first several error branches will return this value after "goto error". But commit f1f537c2e7f5 ("staging: unisys: visorbus: Consolidate controlvm channel creation.") overwrites 'err' in the middle of the way. As a result, some error branches do not successfully return the initial value -ENODEV of 'err', but return 0. In addition, when kzalloc() fails, -ENOMEM should be returned instead of -ENODEV. Fixes: f1f537c2e7f5 ("staging: unisys: visorbus: Consolidate controlvm channel creation.") 2020-01-14visorbus: fix uninitialized variable accessArnd Bergmann1-4/+7
The setup_crash_devices_work_queue function only partially initializes the message it sends to chipset_init, leading to undefined behavior: drivers/visorbus/visorchipset.c: In function 'setup_crash_devices_work_queue': drivers/visorbus/visorchipset.c:333:6: error: '((unsigned char*)&msg.hdr.flags)[0]' is used uninitialized in this function [-Werror=uninitialized] if (inmsg->hdr.flags.response_expected) Set up the entire structure, zero-initializing the 'response_expected' flag. This was apparently found by the patch that added the -O3 build option in Kconfig. 2017-12-08drivers: visorbus: move driver out of stagingDavid Kershner1-0/+1686
Move the visorbus driver out of staging (drivers/staging/unisys/visorbus) and to drivers/visorbus. Modify the configuration and makefiles so they now reference the new location. The s-Par header file visorbus.h that is referenced by all s-Par drivers, is being moved into include/linux.
