2017-07-11iscsi-target: Add login_keys_workaround attribute for non RFC initiatorsNicholas Bellinger1-0/+19
This patch re-introduces part of a long standing login workaround that was recently dropped by: commit 1c99de981f30b3e7868b8d20ce5479fa1c0fea46 Author: Nicholas Bellinger <nab@linux-iscsi.org> Date: Sun Apr 2 13:36:44 2017 -0700 iscsi-target: Drop work-around for legacy GlobalSAN initiator Namely, the workaround for FirstBurstLength ended up being required by Mellanox Flexboot PXE boot ROMs as reported by Robert. So this patch re-adds the work-around for FirstBurstLength within iscsi_check_proposer_for_optional_reply(), and makes the key optional to respond when the initiator does not propose, nor respond to it. Also as requested by Arun, this patch introduces a new TPG attribute named 'login_keys_workaround' that controls the use of both the FirstBurstLength workaround, as well as the two other existing workarounds for gPXE iSCSI boot client. By default, the workaround is enabled with login_keys_workaround=1, since Mellanox FlexBoot requires it, and Arun has verified the Qlogic MSFT initiator already proposes FirstBurstLength, so it's uneffected by this re-adding this part of the original work-around. 2017-06-08iscsi-target: Avoid holding ->tpg_state_lock during param updateNicholas Bellinger1-6/+2
As originally reported by Jia-Ju, iscsit_tpg_enable_portal_group() holds iscsi_portal_group->tpg_state_lock while updating AUTHMETHOD via iscsi_update_param_value(), which performs a GFP_KERNEL allocation. However, since iscsit_tpg_enable_portal_group() is already protected by iscsit_get_tpg() -> iscsi_portal_group->tpg_access_lock in it's parent caller, ->tpg_state_lock only needs to be held when setting TPG_STATE_ACTIVE. 2016-12-16target/iscsi: Fix double free in lio_target_tiqn_addtpg()Dan Carpenter1-1/+0
This iscsit_tpg_add_portal_group() function is only called from lio_target_tiqn_addtpg(). Both functions free the "tpg" pointer on error so it's a double free bug. The memory is allocated in the caller so it should be freed in the caller and not here. 2016-01-20target: Convert ACL change queue_depth se_session reference usageNicholas Bellinger1-10/+0
This patch converts core_tpg_set_initiator_node_queue_depth() to use struct se_node_acl->acl_sess_list when performing explicit se_tpg_tfo->shutdown_session() for active sessions, in order for new se_node_acl->queue_depth to take effect. This follows how core_tpg_del_initiator_node_acl() currently works when invoking se_tpg_tfo->shutdown-session(), and ahead of the next patch to take se_node_acl->acl_kref during lookup, the extra get_initiator_node_acl() can go away. In order to achieve this, go ahead and change target_get_session() to use kref_get_unless_zero() and propigate up the return value to know when a session is already being released. This is because se_node_acl->acl_group is already protecting se_node_acl->acl_group reference via configfs, and shutdown within core_tpg_del_initiator_node_acl() won't occur until sys_write() to core_tpg_set_initiator_node_queue_depth() attribute returns back to user-space. Also, drop the left-over iscsi-target hack, and obtain se_portal_group->session_lock in lio_tpg_shutdown_session() internally. Remove iscsi-target wrapper and unused se_tpg + force parameters and associated code. 2015-08-26target/iscsi: Keep local_ip as the actual sockaddrAndy Grover1-4/+4
This is a more natural format that lets us format it with the appropriate printk specifier as needed. This also lets us handle v4-mapped ipv6 addresses a little more nicely, by storing the addr as an actual v4 sockaddr in conn->local_sockaddr. Finally, we no longer need to maintain variables for port, since this is contained in sockaddr. Remove iscsi_np.np_port and iscsi_conn.local_port. Revert commit 1997e6259, which causes double brackets on ipv6 inaddr_any addresses. Since we have np_sockaddr, if we need a textual representation we can use "%pISc". Change iscsit_add_network_portal() and iscsit_add_np() signatures to remove *ip_str parameter. Fix and extend some comments earlier in the function. 2015-08-02iscsi-target: Add tpg_enabled_sendtargets for disabled discoveryDavid Disseldorp1-0/+19
This patch adds a new tpg_enabled_sendtargets configfs attribute to allow in-band sendtargets discovery information to include target-portal-groups (TPGs) in !TPG_STATE_ACTIVE state. This functionality is useful for clustered iSCSI targets, where TPGTs handled on remote cluster nodes should be advertised in the SendTargets response. By default, this new attribute retains the default behaviour of existing code which to ignore portal-groups in !TPG_STATE_ACTIVE state. Instead, use the existing se_wwn->wwn_tf->tf_ops pointer to ensure fabric driver is really using the same TFO provided at module_init time. 2015-06-01target: Convert se_portal_group->tpg_lun_list[] to RCU hlistNicholas Bellinger1-2/+0
This patch converts the fixed size se_portal_group->tpg_lun_list[] to use modern RCU with hlist_head in order to support an arbitary number of se_lun ports per target endpoint. It includes dropping core_tpg_alloc_lun() from core_dev_add_lun(), and calling it directly from target_fabric_make_lun() to allocate a new se_lun. And add a new target_fabric_port_release() configfs item callback to invoke kfree_rcu() to release memory during se_lun->lun_group shutdown. Also now that se_node_acl->lun_entry_hlist is using RCU, convert existing tpg_lun_lock to struct mutex so core_tpg_add_node_to_devs() can perform RCU updater logic without releasing ->tpg_lun_mutex. Also, drop core_tpg_clear_object_luns() and it's single consumer in iscsi-target, which is duplicating TPG LUN shutdown logic and is current code results in a NOP. Finally, sbp-target and xen-scsiback fabric driver conversions are included, which are required due to the non-standard way they use ->tpg_lun_hlist. AFAICT, there's no reason why this is necessary anymore, and as reported by Alexey can be potentially dangerous. Also, go ahead and drop the other two problematic cases within iscsit_access_np() and sbc_compare_and_write() as well. Found by Linux Driver Verification project (linuxtesting.org). This patch also fixes a memory leak in several target drivers. Several target drivers namely called target_fabric_configfs_deregister() without calling target_fabric_configfs_free(). 2014-05-15Target/iscsi,iser: Avoid accepting transport connections during stop stageSagi Grimberg1-0/+1
When the target is in stop stage, iSER transport initiates RDMA disconnects. The iSER initiator may wish to establish a new connection over the still existing network portal. In this case iSER transport should not accept and resume new RDMA connections. In order to learn that, iscsi_np is added with enabled flag so the iSER transport can check when deciding weather to accept and resume a new connection request. The iscsi_np is enabled after successful transport setup, and disabled before iscsi_np login threads are cleaned up. 2013-09-09iscsi-target: Add login negotiation multi-plexing supportNicholas Bellinger1-1/+6
This patch adds support for login negotiation multi-plexing in iscsi-target code. Upon login negotiation completion (or failure), ->sk_data_ready() is replaced with the original kernel sockets handler saved in iscsi_conn->orig_data_ready. v3 changes: - Convert iscsi_target_sk_data_ready() lock access to write[lock,unlock]_bh() - Only clear LOGIN_FLAGS_READ_ACTIVE when iscsi_target_do_login() returns zero - Add LOGIN_FLAGS_READY + LOGIN_FLAGS_CLOSED bit checks to iscsi_target_sk_data_ready() - Make INIT_DELAYED_WORK() + iscsi_target_set_sock_callbacks() setup happen earlier by moving from iscsi_target_start_negotiation() into iscsi_target_locate_portal() - Set LOGIN_FLAGS_READY bit in iscsi_target_start_negotiation() after iscsi_target_do_login() returns zero. v2 changes: - Add login_timer in iscsi_target_do_login_rx() to avoid possible endless sleep with MSG_WAITALL for traditional iscsi-target in certain network configurations. - Convert lprintk() -> pr_debug() - Remove forward declarations of iscsi_target_set_sock_callbacks(), iscsi_target_restore_sock_callbacks() and iscsi_target_sk_data_ready() - Make iscsi_target_set_sock_callbacks + iscsi_target_restore_sock_callbacks() static (Fengguang) - Make iscsi_target_do_login_rx() safe for iser-target w/o conn->sock Signed-off-by: Nicholas Bellinger <nab@linux-iscsi.org>

This includes: - iscsi-np cleanups for iscsit_transport_type - Add iscsi-np transport calls w/ ->iscsit_setup_up() and ->iscsit_free_np() - Convert login thread process context to use ->iscsit_accept_np() for connections with pre-allocated struct iscsi_conn - Convert existing socket accept code to iscsit_accept_np() - Convert login RX/TX callers to use ->iscsit_get_login_rx() and ->iscsit_put_login_tx() to exchange request/response PDUs - Convert existing socket login RX/TX calls into iscsit_get_login_rx() and iscsit_put_login_tx() - Change iscsit_close_connection() to invoke ->iscsit_free_conn() + iscsit_put_transport() calls. - Add iscsit_register_transport() + iscsit_unregister_transport() calls to module init/exit v4 changes: - Add missing iscsit_put_transport() call in iscsi_target_setup_login_socket() failure case v2 changes: - Update module init/exit to use register_transport() + unregister_transport() Signed-off-by: Nicholas Bellinger <nab@linux-iscsi.org>
2013-02-19iscsi-target: Enforce individual network portal export once per TargetNameNicholas Bellinger1-0/+39
This patch enforces individual network portal export on a once per TargetName basis, thus preventing a network portal from being exported multiple times across multiple TargetPortalGroups in a single TargetName instance. This is done in iscsit_tpg_check_network_portal() by walking tiqn->tiqn_tpg_list and tpg->tpg_gnp_list using iscsit_check_np_match() looking for an existing network portal mapping from iscsit_tpg_add_network_portal() context, but only when no pre-existing tpg_np_parent pointer is present. 2012-10-02iscsi-target: Add explicit set of cache_dynamic_acls=1 for TPG demo-modeNicholas Bellinger1-0/+12
We've had reports in the past about this specific case, so it's time to go ahead and explicitly set cache_dynamic_acls=1 for generate_node_acls=1 (TPG demo-mode) operation. During normal generate_node_acls=0 operation with explicit NodeACLs -> se_node_acl memory is persistent to the configfs group located at /sys/kernel/config/target/$TARGETNAME/$TPGT/acls/$INITIATORNAME, so in the generate_node_acls=1 case we want the reservation logic to reference existing per initiator IQN se_node_acl memory (not to generate a new se_node_acl), so go ahead and always set cache_dynamic_acls=1 when TPG demo-mode is enabled. 2011-12-14target: remove useless castsJörn Engel1-1/+1
A reader should spend an extra moment whenever noticing a cast, because either something special is going on that deserves extra attention or, as is all too often the case, the code is wrong. These casts, afaics, have all been useless. They cast a foo* to a foo*, cast a void* to the assigned type, cast a foo* to void*, before assigning it to a void* variable, etc. In a few cases I also removed an additional &...[0], which is equally useless. Lastly I added three FIXMEs where, to the best of my judgement, the code appears to have a bug. It would be good if someone could check these. 2011-12-14target: header reshuffle, part2Christoph Hellwig1-3/+1
This reorganized the headers under include/target into: - target_core_base.h stays as is with all target-wide data stuctures and defines - target_core_backend.h contains the whole interface to I/O backends - target_core_fabric.h contains the whole interface to fabric modules Except for those only the various configfs macro headers stay around.
