2018-08-02scsi: qla2xxx: Migrate NVME N2N handling into state machineQuinn Tran12-126/+413
This patch fixes regression introduced for the N2N support for FC-NVMe. For FC-NVMe with N2N connection, instead of FW initiating the Login, Driver starts Login process. This patch migrates that new process from a standalone path into existing session management state machine. With this state change now driver will not wait for pull NPort ID from FW. This patch sets and clears FCF_ASYNC_{SENT|ACTIVE} flags to prevent stalling of relogin attempt. Fix race condition between switch cmd completion and timeout timer. Timer has popped triggers command free. On IOCB completion, stale sp point was reused. 2018-08-02scsi: qla2xxx: Fix unintended LogoutQuinn Tran1-1/+2
During normal IO, FW can return IO with 'port unavailble' status. Driver would send a LOGO to remote port for session resync. On an off chance, a PLOGI could arrive before sending the LOGO. Driver uses shadow pointer instead of Mirror pointer for firmware dump collection. Skip those entries for Mirror pointers for Request/Response queue from firmware dump template reading. 2018-08-02scsi: target: rename target_alloc_sessionMike Christie1-1/+1
Rename target_alloc_session to target_setup_session to avoid confusion with the other transport session allocation function that only allocates the session and because the target_alloc_session does so much more. It allocates the session, sets up the nacl and registers the session. The next patch will then add a remove function to match the setup in this one, so it should make sense for all drivers, except iscsi, to just call those 2 functions to setup and remove a session. iscsi will continue to be the odd driver. This patch fixes crash for FCoE adapter. Once driver initialization is complete, firmware will start posting Asynchronous Event, However driver has not yet allocated workqueue to process and queue up work. This delay of allocating workqueue results into NULL pointer access. The sbitmap and the percpu_ida perform essentially the same task, allocating tags for commands. The sbitmap outperforms the percpu_ida as documented here: https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/4/22/553 The sbitmap interface is a little harder to use, but being able to remove the percpu_ida code and getting better performance justifies the additional complexity. 2018-06-19scsi: qla2xxx: remove irq save in qla2x00_poll()Sebastian Andrzej Siewior1-3/+1
In commit d2ba5675d899 ("[SCSI] qla2xxx: Disable local-interrupts while polling for RISC status.") added a local_irq_disable() before invoking the ->intr_handler callback. The function, which was used in this callback, did not disable interrupts while acquiring the spin_lock so a deadlock was possible and this change was one possible solution. The function in question was qla2300_intr_handler() and is using spin_lock_irqsave() since commit 43fac4d97a1a ("[SCSI] qla2xxx: Resolve a performance issue in interrupt"). I checked all other ->intr_handler callbacks and all of them use the irqsave variant so it is safe to remove the local_irq_save() block now. The kmalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kmalloc_array(). This patch replaces cases of: kmalloc(a * b, gfp) with: kmalloc_array(a * b, gfp) as well as handling cases of: kmalloc(a * b * c, gfp) with: kmalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp) as it's slightly less ugly than: kmalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp) This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like: kmalloc(4 * 1024, gfp) though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion. Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were dropped, since they're redundant. The tools/ directory was manually excluded, since it has its own implementation of kmalloc(). 2018-06-07scsi: qla2xxx: Mask off Scope bits in retry delayAnil Gurumurthy1-2/+6
Some newer target uses "Status Qualifier" response in a returned "Busy Status". This new response code of 0x4001, which is "Scope" bits, translates to "Affects all units accessible by target". Due to this new value returned in the Scope bits, driver was using that value as timeout value which resulted into driver waiting for 27min timeout. This patch masks off this Scope bits so that driver does not use this value as retry delay time. 2018-06-05scsi: qla2xxx: Fix setting lower transfer speed if GPSC failsHimanshu Madhani1-1/+2
This patch prevents driver from setting lower default speed of 1 GB/sec, if the switch does not support Get Port Speed Capabilities (GPSC) command. Setting this default speed results into much lower write performance for large sequential WRITE. This patch modifies driver to check for gpsc_supported flags and prevents driver from issuing MBC_SET_PORT_PARAM (001Ah) to set default speed of 1 GB/sec. If driver does not send this mailbox command, firmware assumes maximum supported link speed and will operate at the max speed.
