2013-07-03drivers/rtc/rtc-m41t94.c: remove empty functionSachin Kamat1-6/+0
After the switch to devm_* functions and the removal of rtc_device_unregister(), the 'remove' function does not do anything. Delete it. 2013-04-29rtc: rtc-m41t94: use spi_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+1
Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using spi_device instead of using dev_{get|set}_drvdata with &spi->dev, so we can directly pass a struct spi_device. 2013-04-29rtc: rtc-m41t94: use devm_rtc_device_register()Jingoo Han1-7/+2
devm_rtc_device_register() is device managed and makes cleanup paths simpler. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2013-01-03Drivers: rtc: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-3/+3
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2012-01-10drivers/rtc/: remove redundant spi driver bus initializationLars-Peter Clausen1-1/+0
In ancient times it was necessary to manually initialize the bus field of an spi_driver to spi_bus_type. These days this is done in spi_driver_register(), so we can drop the manual assignment. The patch was generated using the following coccinelle semantic patch: // <smpl> @@ identifier _driver; @@ struct spi_driver _driver = { .driver = { - .bus = &spi_bus_type, }, }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Cc: John Stultz <john.stultz@linaro.org> Cc: Alessandro Zummo <a.zummo@towertech.it> Cc: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

2009-09-23spi: prefix modalias with "spi:"Anton Vorontsov1-0/+1
This makes it consistent with other buses (platform, i2c, vio, ...). I'm not sure why we use the prefixes, but there must be a reason. This was easy enough to do it, and I did it. 2008-07-24rtc: add support for ST M41T94 SPI RTCKim B. Heino1-0/+173
This patch adds kernel driver for M41T94 RTC chip connected via SPI. I've tested it on two different AT91-based hardwares. This is third revision of the patch: some comments made by Alessandro Zummo fixed. Revision two added support for century bit and fixes. Signed-off-by: Kim B.
