2015-10-28spi: Drop owner assignment from spi_driversAndrew F. Davis1-1/+0
An spi_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Andrew F. Davis <afd@ti.com> Acked-by: Jonathan Cameron <jic23@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2013-07-03drivers/rtc/rtc-ds3234.c: remove empty functionSachin Kamat1-6/+0
After the switch to devm_* functions and the removal of rtc_device_unregister(), the 'remove' function does not do anything. Delete it. 2013-07-03drivers/rtc/rtc-ds3234.c: fix whitespace issueSachin Kamat1-1/+1
Fixes the following warning: WARNING: please, no space before tabs Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@linaro.org> Cc: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2013-04-29rtc: rtc-ds3234: use spi_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+1
Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using spi_device instead of using dev_{get|set}_drvdata with &spi->dev, so we can directly pass a struct spi_device. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2013-04-29rtc: rtc-ds3234: use devm_rtc_device_register()Jingoo Han1-5/+2
devm_rtc_device_register() is device managed and makes cleanup paths simpler. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2013-01-03Drivers: rtc: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-3/+3
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2011-03-17spi/rtc-{ds1390,ds3234,m41t94}: Use spi_get_drvdata() for SPI devicesGeert Uytterhoeven1-1/+1
The recently increased type checking in platform_get_drvdata() reveals a few offenders: drivers/rtc/rtc-ds1390.c:161: warning: passing argument 1 of ‘platform_get_drvdata’ from incompatible pointer type drivers/rtc/rtc-ds3234.c:161: warning: passing argument 1 of ‘platform_get_drvdata’ from incompatible pointer type drivers/rtc/rtc-m41t94.c:139: warning: passing argument 1 of ‘platform_get_drvdata’ from incompatible pointer type Use spi_get_drvdata() instead of platform_get_drvdata(). 2009-09-23spi: prefix modalias with "spi:"Anton Vorontsov1-0/+1
This makes it consistent with other buses (platform, i2c, vio, ...). I'm not sure why we use the prefixes, but there must be a reason. This was easy enough to do it, and I did it. 2008-10-30rtc: ds3234 doesn't link when built-inGeert Uytterhoeven1-2/+2
When ds3234 is built-in, the final links fails with the following vague error message: `.exit.text' referenced in section `.data' of drivers/built-in.o: defined in discarded section `.exit.text' of drivers/built-in.o ds3234_remove() cannot be marked __exit, as it's accessed via __devexit_p().
