2019-02-08rtc: 88pm860x: fix unintended sign extensionColin Ian King1-7/+14
Shifting a u8 by 24 will cause the value to be promoted to an integer. If the top bit of the u8 is set then the following conversion to an unsigned long will sign extend the value causing the upper 32 bits to be set in the result. Fix this by casting the u8 value to an unsigned long before the shift. Detected by CoverityScan, CID#144925-144928 ("Unintended sign extension") Fixes: 008b30408c40 ("mfd: Add rtc support to 88pm860x") Signed-off-by: Colin Ian King <colin.king@canonical.com> Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@bootlin.com>
2018-03-27rtc: 88pm860x: remove artificial limitationAlexandre Belloni1-2/+2
The 88pm860x supports time up to 2106 (it is a 32 bit counter). Also, the year will never be before 1970 as the RTC core forbids that. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@bootlin.com>
2014-10-20rtc: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang1-1/+0
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2014-06-06drivers/rtc/rtc-88pm860x.c: add missing of_node_put()Krzysztof Kozlowski1-0/+1

2014-06-06drivers/rtc/rtc-88pm860x.c: use of_get_child_by_name()Krzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+1
Use of_get_child_by_name() to obtain reference to charger node instead of of_find_node_by_name() which can walk outside of the parent node. 2013-11-13drivers/rtc/rtc-88pm860x.c: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+1
Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. This is a cosmetic change to make the code simpler and enhance the readability. 2013-07-03rtc: rtc-88pm860x: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+0
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, since commit 0998d063100 ("device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound"). Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. 2013-01-03Drivers: rtc: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-5/+5
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2012-04-05Merge branch 'akpm' (Andrew's patch-bomb)Linus Torvalds1-2/+2
Merge batch of fixes from Andrew Morton: "The simple_open() cleanup was held back while I wanted for laggards to merge things. I still need to send a few checkpoint/restore patches. I've been wobbly about merging them because I'm wobbly about the overall prospects for success of the project. But after speaking with Pavel at the LSF conference, it sounds like they're further toward completion than I feared - apparently davem is at the "has stopped complaining" stage regarding the net changes. So I need to go back and re-review those patchs and their (lengthy) discussion." * emailed from Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org>: (16 patches) memcg swap: use mem_cgroup_uncharge_swap fix backlight: add driver for DA9052/53 PMIC v1 C6X: use set_current_blocked() and block_sigmask() MAINTAINERS: add entry for sparse checker MAINTAINERS: fix REMOTEPROC F: typo alpha: use set_current_blocked() and block_sigmask() simple_open: automatically convert to simple_open() scripts/coccinelle/api/simple_open.cocci: semantic patch for simple_open() libfs: add simple_open() hugetlbfs: remove unregister_filesystem() when initializing module drivers/rtc/rtc-88pm860x.c: fix rtc irq enable callback fs/xattr.c:setxattr(): improve handling of allocation failures fs/xattr.c:listxattr(): fall back to vmalloc() if kmalloc() failed fs/xattr.c: suppress page allocation failure warnings from sys_listxattr() sysrq: use SEND_SIG_FORCED instead of force_sig() proc: fix mount -t proc -o AAA
