2019-09-06iwlwifi: dbg_ini: remove periodic triggerShahar S Matityahu1-2/+0
Remove periodic trigger functionality. After moving to the new API we will add periodic trigger functionality that matches the new API. Signed-off-by: Shahar S Matityahu <shahar.s.matityahu@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2019-06-29iwlwifi: dbg_ini: add consecutive trigger firing supportShahar S Matityahu1-1/+6
When a dump trigger is fired, the driver sets IWL_FWRT_STATUS_DUMPING and aborts any consecutive dump collection. To allow consecutive triggers firing, use 5 dump workers and allocate them upon incoming dump collection requests. This functionality is needed since in ini debug mode each trigger may have entirely different memory regions to collect unlike the legacy mode in which all the triggers dump the same memory regions. 2019-03-22iwlwifi: use sync nmi in case of init flow failureShahar S Matityahu1-1/+0
In case of alive interrupt timeout or any failure in the init flow the driver generates FW nmi. The driver assumes that the nmi will generate SW interrupt. This assumption does not hold and leads to faulty behavior in the recovery flow. Solve this by using sync nmi, this way, even if the driver does not receive SW interrupt, it still starts the recovery flow. Also remove the wait queue from iwl_fwrt_stop_device since the driver is handling the SW interrupt synchronously. 2019-02-04iwlwifi: Fix pre operational dumping flowsShahar S Matityahu1-0/+3
There are several dumping flows in the driver in case of a fail prior to operational. In some cases we get 2 dumps while in others we get none. Fix this by uniting the different flows. Add a different dump type to driver triggered dumps in case we want a dump but did not got assert, and make all dumping go through iwl_fw_dbg_collect_desc to avoid multiple dumps. 2018-03-02iwlwifi: Cancel and set MARKER_CMD timer during suspend-resumeHaim Dreyfuss1-0/+12
While entering to D3 mode there is a gap between the time the driver handles the D3_CONFIG_CMD response to the time the host is going to sleep. In between there might be cases which MARKER_CMD can tailgate. Also during resume flow the MARKER_CMD might get sent while D0I3_CMD is being handled in the FW. Cancel MARKER_CMD timer and set it again properly during suspend resume flows to prevent this command from being sent accidentlly. 2018-02-16iwlwifi: align timestamp cancel with timestamp startShaul Triebitz1-6/+0
Canceling the periodic timestamp work should be done in the opposite flow to where it was started. This also prevents from sending the MARKER command during the mac_stop flow - causing a false queue hang (FW is no longer there to send a response). 2017-12-20iwlwifi: runtime: sync FW and host clocks for logsMordechay Goodstein1-2/+11
For sync we send a marker cmd every <defined throughout debugfs> seconds. The trigger for getting gp2 clock values from the FW is set by writing to debugfs a periodic time in seconds, if value zero is written, only one request would be sent and the timer would be canceled. Also added a small infrastructure for debugfs runtime code. Signed-off-by: Mordechay Goodstein <mordechay.goodstein@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>

Split out the firmware debug code to be more general, so that it can be used by different subdrivers. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
