2017-12-13net: qualcomm: rmnet: Remove the some redundant macrosSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan4-29/+11
Multiplexing is always enabled when transmiting from a rmnet device, so remove the redundant egress macros. De-multiplexing is always enabled when receiving packets from a rmnet device, so remove those ingress macros. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-12-13net: qualcomm: rmnet: Remove the rmnet_map_results enumSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan2-21/+3
Only the success and consumed entries were actually in use. Use standard error codes instead. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-12-05net: qualcomm: rmnet: Fix leak in device creation failureSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan1-0/+1
If the rmnet device creation fails in the newlink either while registering with the physical device or after subsequent operations, the rmnet endpoint information is never freed. Fixes: ceed73a2cf4a ("drivers: net: ethernet: qualcomm: rmnet: Initial implementation") Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-12-05net: qualcomm: rmnet: Fix leak on transmit failureSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan1-2/+6
If a skb in transmit path does not have sufficient headroom to add the map header, the skb is not sent out and is never freed. Fixes: ceed73a2cf4a ("drivers: net: ethernet: qualcomm: rmnet: Initial implementation") Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-28net: qualcomm: rmnet: Add support for GROSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan4-1/+14
Add gro_cells so that rmnet devices can call gro_cells_receive instead of netif_receive_skb. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Cc: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-28net: qualcomm: rmnet: Add support for 64 bit statsSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan2-5/+85
Implement 64 bit per cpu stats. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-28net: qualcomm: rmnet: Always assign rmnet dev in deaggregation pathSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan1-2/+1
The rmnet device needs to assigned for all packets in the deaggregation path based on the mux id, so the check is not needed. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-28net: qualcomm: rmnet: Fix the return value of rmnet_rx_handler()Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan3-24/+14
Since packet is always consumed by rmnet_rx_handler(), we always return RX_HANDLER_CONSUMED. There is no need to pass on this value through multiple functions. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-11net: qualcomm: rmnet: Implement bridge modeSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan4-6/+122
Add support to bridge two devices which can send multiplexing and aggregation (MAP) data. This is done only when the data itself is not going to be consumed in the stack but is being passed on to a different endpoint. This is mainly used for testing. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-11net: qualcomm: rmnet: Convert the muxed endpoint to hlistSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan6-53/+68
Rather than using a static array, use a hlist to store the muxed endpoints and use the mux id to query the rmnet_device. This is useful as usually very few mux ids are used. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Cc: Dan Williams <dcbw@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-11net: qualcomm: rmnet: Remove duplicate setting of rmnet_devicesSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan2-5/+4
The rmnet_devices information is already stored in muxed_ep, so storing this in rmnet_devices[] again is redundant. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-11net: qualcomm: rmnet: Remove duplicate setting of rmnet private infoSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan6-40/+15
The end point is set twice in the local_ep as well as the mux_id and the real_dev in the rmnet private structure. Remove the local_ep. While these elements are equivalent, rmnet_endpoint will be used only as part of the rmnet_port for muxed scenarios in VND mode. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-11net: qualcomm: rmnet: Move rmnet_mode to rmnet_portSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan3-10/+7
Mode information on the real device makes it easier to route packets to rmnet device or bridged device based on the configuration. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-11net: qualcomm: rmnet: Remove some unused definesSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan1-8/+0
Most of these constants were used in the initial patchset where custom netlink configuration was used and hence are no longer relevant. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-10-11net: qualcomm: rmnet: Remove existing logic for bridge modeSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan2-69/+9
This will be rewritten in the following patches. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2017-09-23net: qualcomm: rmnet: Fix rcu splat in rmnet_is_real_dev_registeredSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan1-4/+1
Xiaolong reported a suspicious rcu_dereference_check in the device unregister notifier callback. Since we do not dereference the rx_handler_data, it's ok to just check for the value of the pointer. 2017-09-09net: qualcomm: rmnet: Fix a double freeDan Carpenter1-6/+4
There is a typo here so we accidentally free "skb" instead of "skbn". It leads to a double free and a leak. After discussing with Subash, it's better to just move the check before the allocation and avoid the need to free. Fixes: ceed73a2cf4a ("drivers: net: ethernet: qualcomm: rmnet: Initial implementation") Signed-off-by: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Acked-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. 2017-09-03net: qualcomm: rmnet: Implement ndo_get_iflinkSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan4-3/+15
This makes it easier to find out the parent dev. Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Cc: Dan Williams <dcbw@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-09-03net: qualcomm: rmnet: Refactor the new rmnet dev creationSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan3-84/+26
Data format can be directly set from rmnet_newlink() since the rmnet real dev info is already available. Since __rmnet_get_real_dev_info() is no longer used in rmnet_config.c after removal of those functions, move content to rmnet_get_real_dev_info(). __rmnet_set_endpoint_config() is collapsed into rmnet_set_endpoint_config() since only mux_id was being set additionally within it. Remove an unnecessary mux_id check. Set the mux_id for the rmnet_dev within rmnet_vnd_newlink() itself. 2017-09-03net: qualcomm: rmnet: Move the device creation logSubash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan1-2/+1
The current log is not very useful as it does not log the device name since it it is prior to registration - (unnamed net_device) (uninitialized): Setting up device Modify to log after the device registration - rmnet1: rmnet dev created Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-09-03net: qualcomm: rmnet: Remove the unused endpoint -1Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan1-11/+3
This was used only in the original patch series where the IOCTLs were present and is no longer in use. Fixes: ceed73a2cf4a ("drivers: net: ethernet: qualcomm: rmnet: Initial implementation") Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Cc: Dan Williams <dcbw@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2017-09-03net: qualcomm: rmnet: Fix memory corruption if mux_id is greater than 32Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan3-4/+2
rmnet_rtnl_validate() was checking for upto mux_id 254, however the rmnet_devices devices could hold upto 32 entries only. Fix this by increasing the size of the rmnet_devices. Fixes: ceed73a2cf4a ("drivers: net: ethernet: qualcomm: rmnet: Initial implementation") Signed-off-by: Subash Abhinov Kasiviswanathan <subashab@codeaurora.org> Cc: Dan Williams <dcbw@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. RmNet driver provides a transport agnostic MAP (multiplexing and aggregation protocol) support in embedded module. Module provides virtual network devices which can be attached to any IP-mode physical device. This will be used to provide all MAP functionality on future hardware in a single consistent location.
