2017-10-28drivers/net: korina: Convert timers to use timer_setup()Kees Cook1-4/+4
In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer() to pass the timer pointer explicitly. 2017-09-18net: korina: don't use overflow and underflow interruptsRoman Yeryomin1-82/+1
When such interrupts occur there is not much we can do. Dropping the whole ring doesn't help and only produces high packet loss. If we just ignore the interrupt the mac will drop one or few packets instead of the whole ring. Also this will lower the irq handling load and increase performance. 2016-12-26net: korina: Fix NAPI versus resources freeingFlorian Fainelli1-4/+4
Commit beb0babfb77e ("korina: disable napi on close and restart") introduced calls to napi_disable() that were missing before, unfortunately this leaves a small window during which NAPI has a chance to run, yet we just freed resources since korina_free_ring() has been called: Fix this by disabling NAPI first then freeing resource, and make sure that we also cancel the restart task before doing the resource freeing. 2016-10-13net: deprecate eth_change_mtu, remove usageJarod Wilson1-1/+0
With centralized MTU checking, there's nothing productive done by eth_change_mtu that isn't already done in dev_set_mtu, so mark it as deprecated and remove all usage of it in the kernel. All callers have been audited for calls to alloc_etherdev* or ether_setup directly, which means they all have a valid dev->min_mtu and dev->max_mtu. Now eth_change_mtu prints out a netdev_warn about being deprecated, for the benefit of out-of-tree drivers that might be utilizing it. Of note, dvb_net.c actually had dev->mtu = 4096, while using eth_change_mtu, meaning that if you ever tried changing it's mtu, you couldn't set it above 1500 anymore. It's now getting dev->max_mtu also set to 4096 to remedy that. v2: fix up lantiq_etop, missed breakage due to drive not compiling on x86 CC: netdev@vger.kernel.org Signed-off-by: Jarod Wilson <jarod@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-01-16drivers/net: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+0
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which has been submitted separately. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2013-05-27net: ethernet: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+0
