2019-05-04net: hns3: add support for multiple media typeJian Shen2-5/+11
Previously, we can only identify copper and fiber type, the supported link modes of port information are always showing SR type. This patch adds support for multiple media types, include SR, LR CR, KR. Driver needs to query the media type from firmware periodicly, and updates the port information. 2019-04-26net: hns3: not reset TQP in the DOWN while VF resettingHuazhong Tan1-2/+4
Since the hardware does not handle mailboxes and the hardware reset include TQP reset, so it is unnecessary to reset TQP in the hclgevf_ae_stop() while doing VF reset. 2019-04-26net: hns3: use a reserved byte to identify need_resp flagHuazhong Tan1-0/+2
This patch uses a reserved byte in the hclge_mbx_vf_to_pf_cmd to save the need_resp flag, so when PF received the mailbox, it can use it to decise whether send a response to VF. For hclge_set_vf_uc_mac_addr(), it should use mbx_need_resp flag to decide whether send response to VF. 2019-04-14net: hns3: fix set port based VLAN issue for VFJian Shen3-2/+62
In original codes, ndo_set_vf_vlan() in hns3 driver was implemented wrong. It adds or removes VLAN into VLAN filter for VF, but VF is unaware of it. This patch fixes it. When VF loads up, it firstly queries the port based VLAN state from PF. When user change port based VLAN state from PF, PF firstly checks whether the VF is alive. If the VF is alive, then PF notifies the VF the modification; otherwise PF configure the port based VLAN state directly. The checking of HCLGEVF_STATE_RST_HANDLING flag in the hclgevf_reset_task_schedule() will make some scheduling of reset pending fail. This flag will be checked in the hclgevf_reset_service_task(), it is unnecessary to check it in the hclgevf_reset_task_schedule(). So this patch removes it. While doing DOWN operation, the driver will reclaim the memory which has already used for TX. If the hardware is processing this memory, it will cause a RCB error to the hardware. According the hardware's description, the driver should reset the tqp before reclaim the memory during DOWN. When triggering nic down, there is a time window between bringing down the protocol stack and stopping the work task. If the net is up in the time window, it may bring up the protocol stack again. This patch fixes it by stop the work task at the beginning of hns3_nic_net_stop(). To keep symmetrical, start the work task at the end of hns3_nic_net_open(). In the hclgevf_pci_reset(), it only uninitialize and initialize the msi, so if the initialization fails, hclgevf_uninit_hdev() does not need to uninitialize the msi, but needs to uninitialize the pci, otherwise it will cause pci resource not free. This patch implements the .reset_prepare and .reset_done ops from pci framework to support the VF FLR. This patch uses hclgevf_set_def_reset_request() and hclgevf_reset_event() to handle FLR, so when hdev->default_reset_request is non zero, it means there is some reset requseted by hclgevf_set_def_reset_request() need to be processed. While doing PF FLR, VF's PCIe configuration space will be cleared, so the pci and vector of VF should be re-initialized in the VF's reset process while PF doing FLR. Since hclgevf_reset() may fail for some reasons, so it needs an error handler to deal with it. When VF reset failed, VF can only be restored by a higher level reset asserted by PF. So, it needs to reinitialize its command queue, then it can respond to higher level reset. Also, this patch adds error logging in the hclgevf_notify_client(). According to hardware's description, after the reset occurs, the driver needs to re-initialize the command queue before sending and receiving any commands. Therefore, the VF's driver needs to identify the command queue needs to re-initialize with HCLGEVF_STATE_CMD_DISABLE, and does not allow sending or receiving commands before the re-initialization. 2018-11-09net: hns3: add reset handling for VF when doing Core/Global/IMP resetHuazhong Tan2-12/+46
When a Core/Global/IMP reset occurs, the hardware sets the reset status register of all PF/VF and reports a reset interrupt to all PF/VF and firmware. When receiving the reset interrupt: 1. The firmware will wait for 100 ms before resetting the hardware and clear the reset status register of all PF when hardware reset is done. 2. The PF/VF driver needs to down the netdev within 100 ms and then wait for hardware reset to finish. 3. After firmware clearing the reset status register of all PF, the PF driver reinitializes the hardware and clear the reset status register of it's VF. 4. After PF driver clearing the reset status register of VF, the VF driver reinitializes the hardware. This patch mainly add handling for the step 4.
