2017-02-13mmc: dw_mmc: Remove the public dw_mmc header fileUlf Hansson1-1/+0
There are currently no external users of the public dw_mmc header file, except the dw_mmc driver itself. Therefore let's move the definitions from the public dw_mmc header file into the existing private dw_mmc header file and then remove the public one. 2016-02-29mmc: dw_mmc: remove the prepare_command hookJaehoon Chung1-17/+2
This patch removes the prepare_command hook from entire dw_mmc driver. Now, almost all SoCs are using by default, except Exynos. It seems that dwmmc controller is using unnecessary hook. To know whether needs to set this bit or not, add the DW_MMC_CARD_NO_USE_HOLD bit. 2015-12-22mmc: dw_mmc: use resource_size_t to store physical addressArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
The dw_mmc driver stores the physical address of the MMIO registers in a pointer, which requires the use of type casts, and is actually broken if anyone ever has this device on a 32-bit SoC in registers above 4GB. DesignWare MMC Controller can supports two types of DMA mode: external dma and internal dma. We get a RK312x platform integrated dw_mmc and ARM pl330 dma controller. This patch add edmac ops to support these platforms. I've tested it on RK31xx platform with edmac mode and RK3288 platform with idmac mode. 2013-07-05mmc: dw_mmc-pltfm: add Rockchip variantHeiko Stübner1-1/+20
Cortex-A9 SoCs from Rockchip use a slightly modified variant of dw_mmc controllers that seems to require the SDMMC_CMD_USE_HOLD_REG bit to always be set. There also seem to be no other modifications (additional register etc) present, so to keep the footprint low, add this small variant to the pltfm driver. 800d78bfccb3d ("mmc: dw_mmc: add support for implementation specific callbacks") -- merged in v3.7-rc1 -- introduced multiple NULL pointer dereferences when the default dw_mci_pltfm_probe() is used, as it sets host->drv_data to NULL, and that's only checked against NULL in 1 out of the 7 cases where it is dereferenced. 2012-10-03mmc: dw_mmc: prepare functions in dw_mmc-pltfm for reuseThomas Abraham1-2/+10
Platform implementations of dw-mshc controller may choose to extend the features of the standard dw-mshc controller such as adding additional clocking options or modifying the bus interface. Support for such implementation specific extensions can be incorporated into dw_mmc-pltfm, but including multiple such platform specific implementations would convolute the existing dw_mmc-pltfm code. Instead, it would be better to create implementation specific platform drivers to support implementation specific features. Such platforms drivers can reuse the existing infrastructure in dw_mmc-pltfm for resource identification and controller registration and provide support for implementation specific features. So, allow the infrastructure in dw_mmc-pltfm to be reused by other implementation specific platform drivers. The 'struct dw_mci' maintains a copy of the pdev->dev instance instead of maintaining a reference to that 'struct device' instance. Any resource allocated using the device resource management kernel API with the instance of 'struct device' in 'struct dw_mci' is then incorrect. Fix this by converting the copy of 'struct device' in 'struct dw_mci' to a reference. Support of PCI mode for the dw_mmc driver. This Patch adds the support for the scenario where the Synopsys Designware IP is present on the PCI bus. The patch adds the minimal modifications necessary for the driver to work on PCI platform. Also added separate files for PCI and PLATFORM modes of operation.
