2017-07-06mfd: smsc-ece: Use devm_of_platform_populate()Benjamin Gaignard1-2/+1
Use devm_of_platform_populate() to be sure that of_platform_depopulate is called when removing the driver. Signed-off-by: Benjamin Gaignard <benjamin.gaignard@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2016-10-04mfd: smsc-ece1099: Make it explicitly non-modularPaul Gortmaker1-9/+2
The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is: drivers/mfd/Kconfig:config MFD_SMSC drivers/mfd/Kconfig: bool "SMSC ECE1099 series chips" ...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone. Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only. Since module_init was not in use by this code, the init ordering remains unchanged with this commit. We replace module.h with init.h and delete an unused moduleparam.h include. Also note that MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE is a no-op for non-modular code. We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information is already contained at the top of the file in the comments. 2016-06-29mfd: smsc-ece1099: Return directly after a function failure in smsc_i2c_probe()Markus Elfring1-6/+3
This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software. Return directly if a call of the function "devm_regmap_init_i2c" or "regmap_write" failed. Delete the jump label "err" then. Signed-off-by: Markus Elfring <elfring@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2016-06-29mfd: smsc-ece1099: Delete an unnecessary variable initialisation in ↵Markus Elfring1-1/+1
smsc_i2c_probe() The variable "ret" will be set to an appropriate value a bit later. Thus omit the explicit initialisation at the beginning. Signed-off-by: Markus Elfring <elfring@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2016-05-09mfd: smsc-ece1099: Remove unnecessarily remove callbackLaxman Dewangan1-10/+0
SMSC MFD driver does not add any MFD child devices via mfd_add_devices() and hence it is not required to call mfd_remove_devices() to remove MFD child devices. Remove the call of the API mfd_remove_devices() which will result as remove of .remove callback for driver. 2015-08-11mfd: Drop owner assignment from i2c_driversKrzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+0
i2c_driver does not need to set an owner because i2c_register_driver() will set it. Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <k.kozlowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2015-01-22mfd: smsc-ece1099: Constify struct regmap_configKrzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+1
The regmap_config struct may be const because it is not modified by the driver and regmap_init() accepts pointer to const. Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <k.kozlowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2014-03-19mfd: Delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+0
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
