2021-03-10mfd: Add MFD driver for ATC260x PMICsCristian Ciocaltea1-0/+3
Add initial support for the Actions Semi ATC260x PMICs which integrates Audio Codec, Power management, Clock generation and GPIO controller blocks. For the moment this driver only supports Regulator, Poweroff and Onkey functionalities for the ATC2603C and ATC2609A chip variants. Since the PMICs can be accessed using both I2C and SPI buses, the following driver structure has been adopted: -----> atc260x-core.c (Implements core functionalities) / ATC260x --------> atc260x-i2c.c (Implements I2C interface) \ -----> atc260x-spi.c (Implements SPI interface - TODO) Co-developed-by: Manivannan Sadhasivam <manivannan.sadhasivam@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Manivannan Sadhasivam <manivannan.sadhasivam@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Cristian Ciocaltea <cristian.ciocaltea@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2021-03-10mfd: Add base driver for Netronix embedded controllerJonathan Neuschäfer1-0/+1
The Netronix embedded controller is a microcontroller found in some e-book readers designed by the original design manufacturer Netronix, Inc. It contains RTC, battery monitoring, system power management, and PWM functionality. This driver implements register access and version detection. 2021-02-09mfd: intel_msic: Remove driver for deprecated platformAndy Shevchenko1-1/+0
Intel Moorestown and Medfield are quite old Intel Atom based 32-bit platforms, which were in limited use in some Android phones, tablets and consumer electronics more than eight years ago. There are no bugs or problems ever reported outside from Intel for breaking any of that platforms for years. It seems no real users exists who run more or less fresh kernel on it. Commit 05f4434bc130 ("ASoC: Intel: remove mfld_machine") is also in align with this theory. Due to above and to reduce a burden of supporting outdated drivers, remove the support for outdated platforms completely. 2021-02-08mfd: Add driver for Embedded Controller found on Acer Iconia Tab A500Dmitry Osipenko1-0/+1
Acer Iconia Tab A500 is an Android tablet device, it has ENE KB930 Embedded Controller which provides battery-gauge, LED, GPIO and some other functions. The EC uses firmware that is specifically customized for Acer A500. This patch adds MFD driver for the Embedded Controller which allows to power-off / reboot the A500 device, it also provides a common register read/write API that will be used by the sub-devices. 2020-11-04mfd: Intel Platform Monitoring Technology supportDavid E. Box1-0/+1
Intel Platform Monitoring Technology (PMT) is an architecture for enumerating and accessing hardware monitoring facilities. PMT supports multiple types of monitoring capabilities. This driver creates platform devices for each type so that they may be managed by capability specific drivers (to be introduced). Capabilities are discovered using PCIe DVSEC ids. Support is included for the 3 current capability types, Telemetry, Watcher, and Crashlog. The features are available on new Intel platforms starting from Tiger Lake for which support is added. This patch adds support for Tiger Lake (TGL), Alder Lake (ADL), and Out-of-Band Management Services Module (OOBMSM). Also add a quirk mechanism for several early hardware differences and bugs. For Tiger Lake and Alder Lake, do not support Watcher and Crashlog capabilities since they will not be compatible with future product. Also, fix use a quirk to fix the discovery table offset. 2020-09-30mfd: intel-m10-bmc: Add Intel MAX 10 BMC chip support for Intel FPGA PACXu Yilun1-0/+1
This patch implements the basic functions of the BMC chip for some Intel FPGA PCIe Acceleration Cards (PAC). The BMC is implemented using the Intel MAX 10 CPLD. This BMC chip is connected to the FPGA by a SPI bus. To provide direct register access from the FPGA, the "SPI slave to Avalon Master Bridge" (spi-avmm) IP is integrated in the chip. It converts encoded streams of bytes from the host to the internal register read/write on the Avalon bus. So This driver uses the regmap-spi-avmm for register accessing. 2020-09-30mfd: ene-kb3930: Add driver for ENE KB3930 Embedded ControllerLubomir Rintel1-0/+1
This driver provides access to the EC RAM of said embedded controller attached to the I2C bus as well as optionally supporting its slightly weird power-off/restart protocol. A particular implementation of the EC firmware can be identified by a model byte. If this driver identifies the Dell Ariel platform, it registers the appropriate cells. 2020-09-17mfd: Add simple regmap based I2C driverMichael Walle1-0/+1
There are I2C devices which contain several different functions but doesn't require any special access functions. For these kind of drivers an I2C regmap should be enough. Create an I2C driver which creates an I2C regmap and enumerates its children. If a device wants to use this as its MFD core driver, it has to add an individual compatible string. It may provide its own regmap configuration. Subdevices can use dev_get_regmap() on the parent to get their regmap instance. 2020-04-24platform/x86: intel_pmc_ipc: Convert to MFDMika Westerberg1-0/+1
This driver only creates a bunch of platform devices sharing resources belonging to the PMC device. This is pretty much what MFD subsystem is for so move the driver there, renaming it to intel_pmc_bxt.c which should be more clear what it is. MFD subsystem provides nice helper APIs for subdevice creation so convert the driver to use those. Unfortunately the ACPI device includes separate resources for most of the subdevices so we cannot simply call mfd_add_devices() to create all of them but instead we need to call it separately for each device. The new MFD driver continues to expose two sysfs attributes that allow userspace to send IPC commands to the PMC/SCU to avoid breaking any existing applications that may use these. Generally this is bad idea so document this in the ABI documentation. 2019-10-18mfd: Switch the AB8500 GPADC to IIOLinus Walleij1-1/+0
The AB8500 GPADC driver is indeed a "general purpose ADC" driver, and while the IIO subsystem did not exist when the driver was first merged, it is never too late to clean things up and move it to the right place. Nowadays IIO provides the right abstractions and interfaces to do generic ADC work in the kernel. We have to cut a bunch of debugfs luggage to make this transition swift, but all these files to is read out the raw values of the ADC and the IIO subsystem already has a standard sysfs ABI for doing exactly this: no debugfs is needed. 2019-04-02mfd: altera-sysmgr: Add SOCFPGA System ManagerThor Thayer1-0/+1
The SOCFPGA System Manager register block aggregates different peripheral functions into one area. On 32 bit ARM parts, handle in the same way as syscon. On 64 bit ARM parts, the System Manager can only be accessed by EL3 secure mode. Since a SMC call to EL3 is required, this new driver uses regmaps similar to syscon to handle the SMC call. Since regmaps abstract out the underlying register access, the changes to drivers accessing the System Manager are minimal. 2019-02-07mfd: lochnagar: Add support for the Cirrus Logic LochnagarCharles Keepax1-0/+2
Lochnagar is an evaluation and development board for Cirrus Logic Smart CODEC and Amp devices. It allows the connection of most Cirrus Logic devices on mini-cards, as well as allowing connection of various application processor systems to provide a full evaluation platform. This driver supports the board controller chip on the Lochnagar board. Audio system topology, clocking and power can all be controlled through the Lochnagar controller chip, allowing the device under test to be used in a variety of possible use cases. As the Lochnagar is a fairly complex device this MFD driver allows the drivers for the various features to be bound in. Initially clocking, regulator and pinctrl will be added as these are necessary to configure the system. But in time at least audio and voltage/current monitoring will also be added.
