2022-02-25memory: Update of_memory lpddr2 revision-id bindingJulius Werner1-8/+15
This patch updates the code parsing the "jedec,lpddr2" device tree binding to use the new `revision-id` property instead of the deprecated `revision-id1` and `revision-id2` properties if available. 2022-02-09memory: of: parse max-freq propertyKrzysztof Kozlowski1-2/+4
Passing the memory timings maximum frequency as an unit address was a workaround and instead 'max-freq' is preferred. Look for 'max-freq' first and then fallback to 'reg'. Correct indentation to match open parenthesis. Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org>
2020-07-24memory: of: Remove __func__ in device related messagesKrzysztof Kozlowski1-8/+8
Messages printed by generic of_memory code will still be using device context so their location/meaning will be known. Printing __func__ is not needed. Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org>

2019-10-01memory: Extend of_memory with LPDDR3 supportLukasz Luba1-0/+149
Add AC timings information needed to support LPDDR3 and memory controllers along with helpers to obtain it. These will be necessary for upcoming Exynos5422 Dynamic Memory Controller driver. Signed-off-by: Lukasz Luba <l.luba@partner.samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org>
2019-06-17memory: move jedec_ddr.h from include/memory to drivers/memory/Masahiro Yamada1-1/+2
Now that jedec_ddr_data.c was moved from lib/ to drivers/memory/, <memory/jedec_ddr.h> is included only from drivers/memory/. Make it a local header of drivers/memory/. The directory include/memory is now gone. While I am here, I also changed #include <linux/module.h> to <linux/export.h>. Because CONFIG_DDR is bool, jedec_ddr_data.c is never compiled as a module. 2018-06-12treewide: devm_kzalloc() -> devm_kcalloc()Kees Cook1-2/+2
The devm_kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, devm_kcalloc(). This patch replaces cases of: devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b, gfp) with: devm_kcalloc(handle, a * b, gfp) as well as handling cases of: devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b * c, gfp) with: devm_kzalloc(handle, array3_size(a, b, c), gfp) as it's slightly less ugly than: devm_kcalloc(handle, array_size(a, b), c, gfp) This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like: devm_kzalloc(handle, 4 * 1024, gfp) though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion. Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were dropped, since they're redundant. Some manual whitespace fixes were needed in this patch, as Coccinelle really liked to write "=devm_kcalloc..." instead of "= devm_kcalloc...". The Coccinelle script used for this was: // Fix redundant parens around sizeof(). @@ expression HANDLE; type TYPE; expression THING, E; @@ ( devm_kzalloc(HANDLE, - (sizeof(TYPE)) * E + sizeof(TYPE) * E , ...) | devm_kzalloc(HANDLE, - (sizeof(THING)) * E + sizeof(THING) * E , ...) ) // Drop single-byte sizes and redundant parens. @@ expression HANDLE; 2016-08-31fix:memory:of_memory:add missing header dependenciesBaoyou Xie1-0/+1
We get 2 warnings when biuld kernel with W=1: drivers/memory/of_memory.c:30:30: warning: no previous prototype for 'of_get_min_tck' [-Wmissing-prototypes] drivers/memory/of_memory.c:106:30: warning: no previous prototype for 'of_get_ddr_timings' [-Wmissing-prototypes] In fact, these functions are declared in drivers/memory/of_memory.h so this patch add missing header dependencies.
