2016-10-05irqchip/vic: Improve function-level documentationJulia Lawall1-1/+0
The associated function, vic_init_cascaded, has never had a variable irq_start. Issue detected using Coccinelle (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Cc: Marc Zyngier <marc.zyngier@arm.com> Cc: kernel-janitors@vger.kernel.org Cc: Jason Cooper <jason@lakedaemon.net> Link: http://lkml.kernel.org/r/1475351192-27079-14-git-send-email-Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>
2016-06-13irqchip/vic: Make vic_syscore_ops and vic_of_init staticBen Dooks1-2/+3
The vic_syscore_ops and vic_of_init functions are not exported outside the driver, so make them static to remove the following warnings: drivers/irqchip/irq-vic.c:170:20: warning: symbol 'vic_syscore_ops' was not declared. Should it be static? drivers/irqchip/irq-vic.c:520:12: warning: symbol 'vic_of_init' was not declared. Should it be static? 2015-09-16irqchip: Kill off set_irq_flags usageRob Herring1-1/+1
set_irq_flags is ARM specific with custom flags which have genirq equivalents. Convert drivers to use the genirq interfaces directly, so we can kill off set_irq_flags. The translation of flags is as follows: IRQF_VALID -> !IRQ_NOREQUEST IRQF_PROBE -> !IRQ_NOPROBE IRQF_NOAUTOEN -> IRQ_NOAUTOEN For IRQs managed by an irqdomain, the irqdomain core code handles clearing and setting IRQ_NOREQUEST already, so there is no need to do this in .map() functions and we can simply remove the set_irq_flags calls. Some users also modify IRQ_NOPROBE and this has been maintained although it is not clear that is really needed. There appears to be a great deal of blind copy and paste of this code. 2015-09-16genirq: Remove irq argument from irq flow handlersThomas Gleixner1-1/+1
Most interrupt flow handlers do not use the irq argument. Those few which use it can retrieve the irq number from the irq descriptor. Remove the argument. Search and replace was done with coccinelle and some extra helper scripts around it. Thanks to Julia for her help! 2015-07-11irqchip/vic: Consolidate chained IRQ handler install/removeThomas Gleixner1-2/+2
Chained irq handlers usually set up handler data as well. We now have a function to set both under irq_desc->lock. Replace the two calls with one. 2015-07-11irqchip: Prepare for local stub header removalJoel Porquet1-2/+1
The IRQCHIP_DECLARE macro moved to to 'include/linux/irqchip.h', so the local irqchip.h became an empty shell, which solely includes include/linux/irqchip.h Include the global header in all irqchip drivers instead of the local header, so we can remove it. 2014-02-25irqchip: VIC: export vic_init_cascadedArnd Bergmann1-0/+1
vic_init_cascaded is called by integrator impd1 code that can be a loadable module, so the function has to be exported. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2014-02-13irqchip: support cascaded VICsLinus Walleij1-6/+47
This adds support for a VIC to be cascaded off another IRQ. On the Integrator/AP logical module IM-PD1 there is a VIC cascaded off the central FPGA IRQ controller so this is needed for that to work out. In order for the plug-in board to be able to register all the devices with their IRQs relative to the offset of the base obtained for the cascaded VIC, the base IRQ number is passed back to the caller. 2014-02-13irqchip: vic: update the base IRQ member correctlyLinus Walleij1-1/+5
When passing 0 as the irq base the VIC driver will dynamically allocate a number of consecutive interrupt descriptors at some available number range. Make sure this number is recorded in the state container rather than the passed-in zero argument in this case. 2013-09-17irqchip: vic: Parse interrupt and resume masks from device treeTomasz Figa1-1/+6

2013-06-08irqchip: Return -EPERM for reserved IRQsGrant Likely1-1/+1
The irqdomain core will report a log message for any attempted map call that fails unless the error code is -EPERM. This patch changes the Versatile irq controller drivers to use -EPERM because it is normal for a subset of the IRQ inputs to be marked as reserved on the various Versatile platforms.
