2019-09-11drm/nouveau: switch to gem vma offset managerGerd Hoffmann1-1/+1
Pass gem vma_offset_manager to ttm_bo_device_init(), so ttm uses it instead of its own embedded struct. This makes some gem functions (specifically drm_gem_object_lookup) work on ttm objects. 2019-09-11drm/ttm: turn ttm_bo_device.vma_manager into a pointerGerd Hoffmann1-0/+1
Rename the embedded struct vma_offset_manager, new name is _vma_manager. ttm_bo_device.vma_manager changed to a pointer. The ttm_bo_device_init() function gets an additional vma_manager argument which allows to initialize ttm with a different vma manager. When passing NULL the embedded _vma_manager is used. All callers are updated to pass NULL, so the behavior doesn't change. 2019-03-19drm/ttm: Quick-test mmap offset in ttm_bo_mmap()Thomas Zimmermann1-3/+0
A BO's address has to be at least the minimum offset. Sharing this test in ttm_bo_mmap() removes code from drivers. 2018-11-05drm/ttm: Rename ttm_bo_global_{init,release}() to ttm_bo_global_ref_{,}()Thomas Zimmermann1-2/+2
The functions ttm_bo_global_init() and ttm_bo_global_release() do not receive an argument of type struct ttm_bo_global. Both take a struct drm_global_reference that contains points to a struct ttm_bo_global_ref. Renaming them reflects this. 2015-07-28drm/nouveau/nouveau/ttm: fix tiled system memory with MaxwellAlexandre Courbot1-0/+9

2015-04-14make RAM device optionalAlexandre Courbot1-0/+3
Having a RAM device does not make sense for chips like GK20A which have no dedicated video memory. The dummy RAM device that we used so far works as a temporary band-aid, but in the longer term it is desirable for the driver to be able to work without any kind of VRAM. This patch adds a few conditionals in places where a RAM device was assumed to be present and allows some more objects to be allocated from the TT domain, allowing Nouveau to handle GPUs for which pfb->ram == NULL. 2015-01-22drm/nouveau: finalise nvkm namespace switch (no binary change)Ben Skeggs1-26/+26
The namespace of NVKM is being changed to nvkm_ instead of nouveau_, which will be used for the DRM part of the driver. This is being done in order to make it very clear as to what part of the driver a given symbol belongs to, and as a minor step towards splitting the DRM driver out to be able to stand on its own (for virt). Because there's already a large amount of churn here anyway, this is as good a time as any to also switch to NVIDIA's device and chipset naming to ease collaboration with them. A comparison of objdump disassemblies proves no code changes. Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>

2015-01-22drm/nouveau: remove symlinks, move core/ to nvkm/ (no code changes)Ben Skeggs1-1/+1
The symlinks were annoying some people, and they're not used anywhere else in the kernel tree. The include directory structure has been changed so that symlinks aren't needed anymore. NVKM has been moved from core/ to nvkm/ to make it more obvious as to what the directory is for, and as some minor prep for when NVKM gets split out into its own module (virt) at a later date.
