2019-08-22drm: meson: use match data to detect vpu compatibilityJulien Masson11-62/+77
This patch introduce new enum which contains all VPU family (GXBB, GXL, GXM and G12A). This enum is used to detect the VPU compatible with the device. We only need to set .data to the corresponding enum in the device table, no need to check .compatible string anymore. 2019-05-20drm/fourcc: Pass the format_info pointer to drm_format_plane_width/heightMaxime Ripard1-6/+6
So far, the drm_format_plane_height/width functions were operating on the format's fourcc and was doing a lookup to retrieve the drm_format_info structure and return the cpp. However, this is inefficient since in most cases, we will have the drm_format_info pointer already available so we shouldn't have to perform a new lookup. Some drm_fourcc functions also already operate on the drm_format_info pointer for that reason, so the API is quite inconsistent there. Let's follow the latter pattern and remove the extra lookup while being a bit more consistent. In order to be extra consistent, also rename that function to drm_format_info_plane_cpp and to a static function in the header to match the current policy. The parameters order have also be changed to match the other functions prototype. 2019-05-20drm: Remove users of drm_format_num_planesMaxime Ripard1-1/+1
drm_format_num_planes() is basically a lookup in the drm_format_info table plus an access to the num_planes field of the appropriate entry. Most drivers are using this function while having access to the entry already, which means that we will perform an unnecessary lookup. Removing the call to drm_format_num_planes is therefore more efficient. Some drivers will not have access to that entry in the function, but in this case the overhead is minimal (we just have to call drm_format_info() to perform the lookup) and we can even avoid multiple, inefficient lookups in some places that need multiple fields from the drm_format_info structure. 2019-04-09drm/meson: Add G12A support for the DW-HDMI GlueNeil Armstrong2-38/+157
The Amlogic G12A embeds the same Synopsys DW-HDMI Controller, but with : - a "backport" of the HDR signaling registers from more recent DW-HDMI controllers, this will need a tweak since it's not normally present on this version of the DW-HDMI controller - A direct mapping of TOP and DW-HDMI registers instead of an internal bus accessed using read/write registers - Support for RX-SENSE, but not yet implemented - Support for HDMI 2.1 Dynamic HDR, but not yet implemented - Different registers mapping for the HDMI PHY setup This patchs adds support for these changes while providing exact same support as the previous GXBB, GXL & GXM SoCs. 2019-04-09drm/meson: Add G12A Video Clock setupNeil Armstrong1-11/+108
While switching to the Common Clock Framework is still Work In Progress, this patch adds the corresponding G12A HDMI PLL setup to be on-par with the other SoCs support. The G12A has only a single tweak about the high frequency setup, where the HDMI PLL needs a specific setup to handle correctly the 5.94GHz DCO frequency. Apart that, it handls ecorrectly all the other HDMI frequencies and can achieve even better DMT clock frequency precision with the larger fractional dividier width.
