2018-12-04drm/exynos/iommu: merge IOMMU and DMA codeAndrzej Hajda4-209/+128

2018-11-05Revert "drm/exynos/decon5433: implement frame counter"Inki Dae3-21/+0
This reverts commit 0586feba322e1de05075700eb4b835c8b683e62b This patch makes it to need get_vblank_counter callback in crtc to get frame counter from decon driver. However, drm_dev->max_vblank_count is a member unique to vendor's DRM driver but in case of ARM DRM, some CRTC devices don't provide the frame counter value. As a result, this patch made extension and clone mode not working. Instead of this patch, we may need separated max_vblank_count which belongs to each CRTC device, or need to implement frame counter emulation for them who don't support HW frame counter. 2018-09-20drm/exynos: move connector creation to attach callbackMaciej Purski1-21/+32
The current implementation assumes that the only possible peripheral device for DSIM is a panel. Using an output bridge child device should also be possible. If an output bridge is available, don't create a new connector. Instead, call drm_bridge_attach() and set encoder's bridge to NULL in order to avoid an out bridge from being visible by the framework, as the DSI bus needs control on enabling its child output bridge. Such sequence is required by Toshiba TC358764 bridge, which is a DSI peripheral bridge device. changed in v5: - detach bridge in mipi_dsi detach callback Signed-off-by: Maciej Purski <m.purski@samsung.com> [ a.hajda@samsung.com: v5 ] Signed-off-by: Andrzej Hajda <a.hajda@samsung.com> Manually merged due to merge conflict. 2018-07-24drm/exynos: Ensure suspended runtime PM state during system suspendMarek Szyprowski8-0/+17
Add calls to pm_runtime_force_{suspend,resume} as SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS for all drivers for the real Exynos DRM hardware modules. This ensures that the resources will be released for the system PM suspend/resume cycle. Exynos DRM core already takes care of suspending the whole display pipeline before PM callbacks of the real devices are called. 2018-07-24drm/exynos: Suspend/resume display pipeline as early/late as possibleMarek Szyprowski1-7/+4
In the current code, exynos_drm_suspend() function is called after all real devices (CRTCs, Encoders, etc) are suspended, because Exynos DRM virtual platform device is created as last device in the system (as a part of DRM registration). None of the devices for real hardware modules has its own system suspend/resume callbacks, so it doesn't change any order of the executed code, but it has a side-effect: runtime PM callbacks for real devices are not executed, because those devices are considered by PM core as already suspended. This might cause issues on boards with complex pipelines, where something depends on the runtime PM state of the given device. To ensure that exynos_drm_suspend() is called before any suspend callback from the real devices, assign it to .prepare callback. Same for exynos_drm_resume(), using .complete callback ensures that all real devices have been resumed when calling it. 2018-07-10drm/panel: Make of_drm_find_panel() return an ERR_PTR() instead of NULLBoris Brezillon3-4/+9
Right now, the DRM panel logic returns NULL when a panel pointing to the passed OF node is not present in the list of registered panels. Most drivers interpret this NULL value as -EPROBE_DEFER, but we are about to modify the semantic of of_drm_find_panel() and let the framework return -ENODEV when the device node we're pointing to has a status property that is not equal to "okay" or "ok". Let's first patch the of_drm_find_panel() implementation to return ERR_PTR(-EPROBE_DEFER) instead of NULL and patch all callers to replace the '!panel' check by an 'IS_ERR(panel)' one. 2018-07-02drm/exynos: Replace drm_dev_unref with drm_dev_putThomas Zimmermann1-2/+2
This patch unifies the naming of DRM functions for reference counting of struct drm_device. The resulting code is more aligned with the rest of the Linux kernel interfaces. Signed-off-by: Thomas Zimmermann <tdz@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
2018-07-02drm/exynos: Replace drm_gem_object_unreference_unlocked with put functionThomas Zimmermann2-6/+6

2018-06-29drm/exynos: ipp: use correct enum typeStefan Agner1-1/+1
The limit_id_fallback array uses enum drm_ipp_size_id to index its content. The content itself is of type enum drm_exynos_ipp_limit_type. Cc: Marek Szyprowski <m.szyprowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Stefan Agner <stefan@agner.ch> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
2018-06-29drm/exynos: decon5433: Fix WINCONx reset valueMarek Szyprowski1-1/+1
The only bits that should be preserved in decon_win_set_fmt() is WINCONx_ENWIN_F. All other bits depends on the selected pixel formats and are set by the mentioned function. Signed-off-by: Marek Szyprowski <m.szyprowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
2018-06-29drm/exynos: decon5433: Fix per-plane global alpha for XRGB modesMarek Szyprowski1-2/+2
Set per-plane global alpha to maximum value to get proper blending of XRGB and ARGB planes. This fixes the strange order of overlapping planes. Signed-off-by: Marek Szyprowski <m.szyprowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
2018-06-29drm/exynos: fimc: Use real buffer width for configuring the hardwareMarek Szyprowski1-7/+10
DMA hardware should respect buffer pitch, so use the width calculated from the buffer pitch instead of the virtual one. Signed-off-by: Marek Szyprowski <m.szyprowski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com>
2018-06-29drm/exynos: gsc: Fix support for NV16/61, YUV420/YVU420 and YUV422 modesMarek Szyprowski2-9/+21
Fix following issues related to planar YUV pixel format configuration: - NV16/61 modes were incorrectly programmed as NV12/21, - YVU420 was programmed as YUV420 on source, - YVU420 and YUV422 were programmed as YUV420 on output.
