2020-04-03drm: delete drm_pci.hDaniel Vetter1-1/+1
It's empty! After more than 20 years of OS abstraction layer for pci devices, it's kinda gone now. 2020-01-18drm: fix parameters documentation style in drm_dmaBenjamin Gaignard1-10/+11
Remove old documentation style and use new one to avoid warnings when compiling with W=1 Signed-off-by: Benjamin Gaignard <benjamin.gaignard@st.com> Acked-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20200114160135.14990-1-benjamin.gaignard@st.com
2019-07-16gpu/drm: fix a few kernel-doc "/**" mark warningsQian Cai1-1/+1
The opening comment mark "/**" is reserved for kernel-doc comments, so it will generate warnings for comments that are not kernel-doc with "make W=1". For example, drivers/gpu/drm/drm_memory.c:2: warning: Cannot understand * \file drm_memory.c Signed-off-by: Qian Cai <cai@lca.pw> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/1563198173-7317-1-git-send-email-cai@lca.pw
2019-05-27drm: drop use of drmP.h in drm/*Sam Ravnborg1-1/+5
The use of the drmP.h header file is deprecated. Remove use from all files in drm/* so people do not look there and follow a bad example. Build tested allyesconfig, allmodconfig on x86, arm etc. Including alpha that is as always more challenging than the rest. 2016-08-08drm: Used DRM_LEGACY for all legacy functionsDaniel Vetter1-4/+2
Except for nouveau, only legacy drivers need this really. And nouveau is already marked up with DRIVER_KMS_LEGACY_CONTEXT as the special case. I've tried to be careful to leave everything related to modeset still using the DRIVER_MODESET flag. Otherwise it's a direct replacement of !DRIVER_MODESET with DRIVER_LEGACY checks. Also helps readability since fewer negative checks overall. 2014-09-12drm: Move legacy buffer structures to <drm/drm_legacy.h>Daniel Vetter1-0/+1
A few odd cases: - mgag200 someho had a totally unused drm_dma_handle_t. Remove it. - i915 still uses the legacy pci dma alloc api, so grows an include. Everything else fairly standard. v2: Include "drm_legacy.h" in drm.ko source files for consistency. Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2014-09-12drm: Move dma functions into drm_legacy.hDaniel Vetter1-6/+4
Also drop the unneeded EXPORT_SYMBOL and sprinkle drm_legacy_ prefixes where missing. v2: Drop the confusing _core_ and drop extern, both suggested by David. Cc: David Herrmann <dh.herrmann@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2013-08-19drm: mark dma setup/teardown as legacy systemsDaniel Vetter1-2/+15
And hide the checks a bit better. This was already disallowed for modesetting drivers, so no functinal change here. Reviewed-by: Eric Anholt <eric@anholt.net> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>

2012-07-19drm: kill dma queue supportDaniel Vetter1-5/+0
Absolutely unused. All the values are only ever initialized and then used at most in some debug printout functions. Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>

2010-05-18drivers/gpu/drm: Use kzallocJulia Lawall1-3/+1
Use kzalloc rather than the combination of kmalloc and memset. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression x,size,flags; statement S; @@ -x = kmalloc(size,flags); +x = kzalloc(size,flags); if (x == NULL) S -memset(x, 0, size); // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Reviewed-by: Corbin Simpson <MostAwesomeDude@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Matt Turner <mattst88@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
2009-06-18drm: Remove memory debugging infrastructure.Eric Anholt1-24/+7
It hasn't been used in ages, and having the user tell your how much memory is being freed at free time is a recipe for disaster even if it was ever used. Signed-off-by: Eric Anholt <eric@anholt.net>
2008-07-14drm: reorganise drm tree to be more future proof.Dave Airlie1-0/+180
With the coming of kernel based modesetting and the memory manager stuff, the everything in one directory approach was getting very ugly and starting to be unmanageable. This restructures the drm along the lines of other kernel components. It creates a drivers/gpu/drm directory and moves the hw drivers into subdirectores. It moves the includes into an include/drm, and sets up the unifdef for the userspace headers we should be exporting. Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
