2016-12-18drm: bridge: Link encoder and bridge in core codeLaurent Pinchart1-4/+1
Instead of linking encoders and bridges in every driver (and getting it wrong half of the time, as many drivers forget to set the drm_bridge encoder pointer), do so in core code. The drm_bridge_attach() function needs the encoder and optional previous bridge to perform that task, update all the callers. 2016-11-11drm/arcpgu: Accommodate adv7511 switch to DRM bridgeEugeniy Paltsev1-142/+17
ARC PGU driver starts crashing on initialization after 'commit e12c2f645557 ("drm/i2c: adv7511: Convert to drm_bridge")' This happenes because in "arcpgu_drm_hdmi_init" function we get pointer of "drm_i2c_encoder_driver" structure, which doesn't exist after adv7511 hdmi encoder interface changed from slave encoder to drm bridge. So, when we call "encoder_init" function from this structure driver crashes. 2016-06-10drm: arc: Rely on the default ->best_encoder() behaviorBoris Brezillon1-18/+0
We have a 1:1 relationship between connectors and encoders and the driver is relying on the atomic helpers: we can drop the custom ->best_encoder(), and let the core call drm_atomic_helper_best_encoder() for us. 2016-04-26drm: Add support of ARC PGU display controllerCarlos Palminha1-0/+201
ARC PGU could be found on some development boards from Synopsys. This is a simple byte streamer that reads data from a framebuffer and sends data to the single encoder.
