2019-05-30treewide: Replace GPLv2 boilerplate/reference with SPDX - rule 152Thomas Gleixner1-6/+1
Based on 1 normalized pattern(s): this program is free software you can redistribute it and or modify it under the terms of the gnu general public license as published by the free software foundation either version 2 of the license or at your option any later version extracted by the scancode license scanner the SPDX license identifier GPL-2.0-or-later has been chosen to replace the boilerplate/reference in 3029 file(s). 2018-01-14gpio: da905x: Include proper headerLinus Walleij1-1/+1
These drivers has no business including <linux/gpio.h>, they are drivers so include <linux/gpio/driver.h>. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2016-09-13gpio: constify gpio_chip structuresJulia Lawall1-1/+1
These structures are only used to copy into other structures, so declare them as const. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r disable optional_qualifier@ identifier i; position p; @@ static struct gpio_chip i@p = { ... }; @ok@ identifier r.i; expression e; position p; @@ e = i@p; @bad@ position p != {r.p,ok.p}; identifier r.i; struct gpio_chip e; @@ e@i@p @depends on !bad disable optional_qualifier@ identifier r.i; @@ static +const struct gpio_chip i = { ... }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Acked-by: Joachim Eastwood <manabian@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2016-02-23gpio: da9055: Use devm_gpiochip_add_data() for gpio registrationLaxman Dewangan1-14/+2
Use devm_gpiochip_add_data() for GPIO registration and remove the need of driver callback .remove. Signed-off-by: Laxman Dewangan <ldewangan@nvidia.com> Cc: Support Opensource <support.opensource@diasemi.com>
2016-01-05gpio: da9055: use gpiochip data pointerLinus Walleij1-11/+6
This makes the driver use the data pointer added to the gpio_chip to store a pointer to the state container instead of relying on container_of(). Cc: Ashish Jangam <ashish.jangam@kpitcummins.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>

2014-10-20gpio: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang1-1/+0
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>

2013-12-04gpio/pinctrl: make gpio_chip members typed booleanLinus Walleij1-1/+1
This switches the two members of struct gpio_chip that were defined as unsigned foo:1 to bool, because that is indeed what they are. Switch all users in the gpio and pinctrl subsystems to assign these values with true/false instead of 0/1. The users outside these subsystems will survive since true/false is 1/0, atleast we set some kind of more strict typing example. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2013-08-16gpio: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+1
Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2013-01-03Drivers: misc: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-4/+4
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.
