2013-04-01clk: mxs: remove the use of mach level IO accessorShawn Guo2-13/+11
It removes the use of mach level IO accessor __mxs_setl/clrl, and hence removes mach header inclusion from clock driver. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Acked-by: Mike Turquette <mturquette@linaro.org>
2013-04-01clk: mxs: get base address from device treeShawn Guo2-16/+35
Instead of using the static definitions, get clkctrl and digctl base addresses with mapping from device tree. Use macro on variable is not nice, but it's done here to save huge pointless diff stat. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Acked-by: Mike Turquette <mturquette@linaro.org>
2013-04-01ARM: mxs: look up timrot clock from device treeShawn Guo2-3/+0
Change call clk_get_sys() to of_clk_get() to look up timrot clock from device tree, so that the clk_register_clkdev() call for timrot can be saved in clock driver. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>
2013-04-01ARM: mxs: use CLKSRC_OF helper to initialize timerShawn Guo2-6/+0
Select CLKSRC_OF and use clocksource_of_init() to initialize timer, so that the call to mxs_timer_init() in clock driver can be removed. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>

2013-02-05ARM: mxs: use apbx bus clock to drive the timers on timrotv2Torben Hohn1-1/+1
timer resolution of ~32us is pretty low. v2 has 32bits resolution, so we have quite some headroom, and can use the 24MHz clock. v1 has only 16bits, so we only increase v2. So we just exchange the timrot clock in imx28. On imx23 we have timrotv1 and everything stays the same. 2012-09-11clk: mxs: replace imx23 clk_register_clkdev with clock DT lookupShawn Guo1-45/+10
It really becomes a maintenance issue that every time a device needs to look up (clk_get) a clock we have to patch kernel clock file to call clk_register_clkdev for that clock. Since clock DT support which is meant to resolve clock lookup in device tree is in place, the patch moves imx23 client devices' clock lookup over to device tree, so that any new lookup to be added at later time can just get done in DT instead of kernel. 2012-06-25clk: mxs: fix clock lookup after freeing init memoryMarc Kleine-Budde2-20/+20
The struct clk_lookup are marked as __initdata, resulting in being removed from memory after the kernel finished booting. However this leads to a NULL pointer de-ref if loading a module which uses clk_get. This patch removes the __initdata from the struct clk_lookup. 2012-06-25clk: mxs: fix ref_io clock definitionShawn Guo1-2/+2
The definition of clocks ref_io0 and ref_io1 were inverted. It causes a mmc regression on some boards right away. Fix the regression by correcting the ref_io clock definition. 2012-05-13mmc: mxs-mmc: get rid of the use of cpu_is_xxxShawn Guo2-6/+6
The register HW_SSP_VERSION is broken for ssp version detection, as the address of the register is different between imx23 and imx28. Let's use platform_device_id to detect the device, so that the use of cpu_is_xxx can be removed. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Acked-by: Chris Ball <cjb@laptop.org>
