2011-07-12arm,tegra: replace cpu_set() with modern apiKOSAKI Motohiro1-1/+1
cpu_set() is marked as obsolete cpumask function and we plan to remove it in future. This patch replace it with modern cpumask function. 2011-07-12arm: tegra: remove generic disp clock divisor flagRobert Morell1-2/+2
Although disp1 and disp2 have 7.1 divisors, their corresponding registers in the clk_rst block are not the interface to program the divisors. Setting the generic DIV_U71 flag may cause the code to attempt to program the clock at a different divisor, which will confuse any code attempting to use that clock since it isn't actually being divided. 2011-07-12ARM: tegra: paz00: change the machine nameMarc Dietrich1-1/+1
This renames "paz00" in MACHINE_START macro to a neater string. PAZ00 seems to have been the Compal internal project name, while PROCYON looks like Toshiba project name. Anyway, the AC100 support package in Ubuntu needs the new naming to identify the machine. Signed-off-by: Marc Dietrich <marvin24@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Colin Cross <ccross@android.com>

2011-07-12ARM: tegra: paz00: enable usb portsMarc Dietrich3-1/+36
This patch add support for the second and third ehci bus on paz00. The first bus needs gadget and nvec support and will be added once the needed patches are upstream. Signed-off-by: Marc Dietrich <marvin24@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Colin Cross <ccross@android.com>
2011-07-12ARM: tegra: paz00: register i2c bussesMarc Dietrich1-0/+27
This adds support for the i2c busses on paz00. The 3rd bus is reserved for the nvec, which acts as master and i2c-tegra has not yet support for this kind of operation. The sound codec (alc5632) is connected to the first bus and will be added once the codec and glue driver is upstream. The thermal sensor (atd7461) is connected to dvc as usual, but will not be added now because i2c-tegra still misses probe support (needs I2C_FUNC_SMBUS_EMUL). 2011-07-12ARM: Tegra: Seaboard: Re-order sdhci device registrationStephen Warren1-2/+2
Ensure the built-in eMMC is always named mmcblk0. This is important because: * U-Boot statically assigns MMC device IDs based on controller ID. * U-Boot assumes that kernel MMC device ID numbering matches U-Boot numbering. * U-Boot provides a kernel cmdline option e.g. root=/dev/mmcblk0p3 based on that numbering. * The kernel dynamically assigns MMC device IDs based on enumeration order of the memory behind the host controller, rather than statically based on host controller ID like U-Boot. * By registering the SDHCI controller for the built-in eMMC first, the enumeration of the built-in eMMC is performed first, and hence eMMC gets assigned ID 0 just like U-Boot. If the SD slot is filled, it then gets assigned ID 1 just like U-Boot. * If the MMC IDs mismatch, and the system boots from SD card not eMMC, the kernel will access the eMMC instead of SD card when attempting to mount /dev/mmcblk1p3 as the root fs. If eMMC is not partitioned/formatted, the kernel will panic since the root fs can't be mounted. If eMMC is partitioned and formatted, the kernel will mount an unexpected filesystem as the root fs. This change relies on the SDHCI driver performing initial card detection synchronously during device registration. This is currently the case. 2011-07-07xen/pci: Move check for acpi_sci_override_gsi to xen_setup_acpi_sci.Konrad Rzeszutek Wilk1-28/+28
Previously we would check for acpi_sci_override_gsi == gsi every time a PCI device was enabled. That works during early bootup, but later on it could lead to triggering unnecessarily the acpi_gsi_to_irq(..) lookup. The reason is that acpi_sci_override_gsi was declared in __initdata and after early bootup could contain bogus values. This patch moves the check for acpi_sci_override_gsi to the site where the ACPI SCI is preset. 2011-07-07x86: Don't use the EFI reboot method by defaultMatthew Garrett1-3/+0
Testing suggests that at least some Lenovos and some Intels will fail to reboot via EFI, attempting to jump to an unmapped physical address. In the long run we could handle this by providing a page table with a 1:1 mapping of physical addresses, but for now it's probably just easier to assume that ACPI or legacy methods will be present and reboot via those. 2011-07-06x86, suspend: Restore MISC_ENABLE MSR in realmode wakeupKees Cook3-0/+26
Some BIOSes will reset the Intel MISC_ENABLE MSR (specifically the XD_DISABLE bit) when resuming from S3, which can interact poorly with ebba638ae723d8a8fc2f7abce5ec18b688b791d7. In 32bit PAE mode, this can lead to a fault when EFER is restored by the kernel wakeup routines, due to it setting the NX bit for a CPU that (thanks to the BIOS reset) now incorrectly thinks it lacks the NX feature. (64bit is not affected because it uses a common CPU bring-up that specifically handles the XD_DISABLE bit.) The need for MISC_ENABLE being restored so early is specific to the S3 resume path. Normally, MISC_ENABLE is saved in save_processor_state(), but this happens after the resume header is created, so just reproduce the logic here. (acpi_suspend_lowlevel() creates the header, calls do_suspend_lowlevel, which calls save_processor_state(), so the saved processor context isn't available during resume header creation.) 2011-07-06ARM: 6987/1: l2x0: fix disabling function to avoid deadlockWill Deacon1-6/+13
The l2x0_disable function attempts to writel with the l2x0_lock held. This results in deadlock when the writel contains an outer_sync call for the platform since the l2x0_lock is already held by the disable function. A further problem is that disabling the L2 without flushing it first can lead to the spin_lock operation becoming visible after the spin_unlock, causing any subsequent L2 maintenance to deadlock. This patch replaces the writel with a call to writel_relaxed in the disabling code and adds a flush before disabling in the control register, preventing livelock from occurring. machines During 32/64 NUMA init unification, commit 797390d855 ("x86-32, NUMA: use sparse_memory_present_with_active_regions()") made 32bit mm init call memory_present() automatically from active_regions instead of leaving it to each NUMA init path. This commit description is inaccurate - memory_present() calls aren't the same for flat and numaq. After the commit, memory_present() is only called for the intersection of e820 and NUMA layout. Before, on flatmem, memory_present() would be called from 0 to max_pfn. After, it would be called only on the areas that e820 indicates to be populated. This is how x86_64 works and should be okay as memmap is allowed to contain holes; however, x86_32 DISCONTIGMEM is missing early_pfn_valid(), which makes memmap_init_zone() assume that memmap doesn't contain any hole. This leads to the following oops if e820 map contains holes as it often does on machine with near or more 4GiB of memory by calling pfn_to_page() on a pfn which isn't mapped to a NUMA node, a reported by Conny Seidel: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 000012b0 IP: [<c1aa13ce>] memmap_init_zone+0x6c/0xf2 *pdpt =3D 0000000000000000 *pde =3D f000eef3f000ee00 Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP last sysfs file: Modules linked in: Pid: 0, comm: swapper Not tainted 2.6.39-rc5-00164-g797390d #1 To Be Filled By O.E.M. 2011-06-30xen/pci: Use the INT_SRC_OVR IRQ (instead of GSI) to preset the ACPI SCI IRQ.Konrad Rzeszutek Wilk1-2/+24
In the past we would use the GSI value to preset the ACPI SCI IRQ which worked great as GSI == IRQ: ACPI: INT_SRC_OVR (bus 0 bus_irq 9 global_irq 9 low level) While that is most often seen, there are some oddities: ACPI: INT_SRC_OVR (bus 0 bus_irq 9 global_irq 20 low level) which means that GSI 20 (or pin 20) is to be overriden for IRQ 9. Our code that presets the interrupt for ACPI SCI however would use the GSI 20 instead of IRQ 9 ending up with: xen: sci override: global_irq=20 trigger=0 polarity=1 xen: registering gsi 20 triggering 0 polarity 1 xen: --> pirq=20 -> irq=20 xen: acpi sci 20 .. snip.. calling acpi_init+0x0/0xbc @ 1 ACPI: SCI (IRQ9) allocation failed ACPI Exception: AE_NOT_ACQUIRED, Unable to install System Control Interrupt handler (20110413/evevent-119) ACPI: Unable to start the ACPI Interpreter as the ACPI interpreter made a call to 'acpi_gsi_to_irq' which got nine. It used that value to request an IRQ (request_irq) and since that was not present it failed. The fix is to recognize that for interrupts that are overriden (in our case we only care about the ACPI SCI) we should use the IRQ number to present the IRQ instead of the using GSI. End result is that we get: xen: sci override: global_irq=20 trigger=0 polarity=1 xen: registering gsi 20 triggering 0 polarity 1 xen: --> pirq=20 -> irq=9 (gsi=9) xen: acpi sci 9 which fixes the ACPI interpreter failing on startup.
