2019-07-08xtensa: abstract 'entry' and 'retw' in assembly codeMax Filippov1-39/+39
Provide abi_entry, abi_entry_default, abi_ret and abi_ret_default macros that allocate aligned stack frame in windowed and call0 ABIs. Provide XTENSA_SPILL_STACK_RESERVE macro that specifies required stack frame size when register spilling is involved. Replace all uses of 'entry' and 'retw' with the above macros. This makes most of the xtensa assembly code ready for XEA3 and call0 ABI. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2014-08-14xtensa: implement clear_user_highpage and copy_user_highpageMax Filippov1-64/+52
Existing clear_user_page and copy_user_page cannot be used with highmem because they calculate physical page address from its virtual address and do it incorrectly in case of high memory page mapped with kmap_atomic. Also kmap is not needed, as most likely userspace mapping color would be different from the kmapped color. Provide clear_user_highpage and copy_user_highpage functions that determine if temporary mapping is needed for the pages. Move most of the logic of the former clear_user_page and copy_user_page to xtensa/mm/cache.c only leaving temporary mapping setup, invalidation and clearing/copying in the xtensa/mm/misc.S. Rename these functions to clear_page_alias and copy_page_alias. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2014-01-14xtensa: fix build warning in 64-bit build environmentMax Filippov1-2/+2
This fixes the following build warnings: arch/xtensa/mm/misc.S: Assembler messages: arch/xtensa/mm/misc.S:143: Warning: value 0xffffffff30000106 truncated to 0x30000106 arch/xtensa/mm/misc.S:197: Warning: value 0xffffffff30000106 truncated to 0x30000106 Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2012-12-18xtensa: clean up files to make them code-style compliantChris Zankel1-1/+1
Remove heading and trailing spaces, trim trailing lines, and wrap lines that are longer than 80 characters. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2012-12-18xtensa: provide proper assembler function boundaries with ENDPROC()Chris Zankel1-0/+49
Use ENDPROC() to mark the end of assembler functions. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2009-04-02xtensa: nommu supportJohannes Weiner1-0/+2
Add support for !CONFIG_MMU setups. Signed-off-by: Johannes Weiner <jw@emlix.com> Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2008-02-13[XTENSA] Fix icache flush for cache aliasingChris Zankel1-1/+1
Set the execution bit in the temporary TLB when we flush the instruction cache. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2007-08-27[XTENSA] Add support for cache-aliasingChris Zankel1-35/+271
Add support for processors that have cache-aliasing issues, such as the Stretch S5000 processor. Cache-aliasing means that the size of the cache (for one way) is larger than the page size, thus, a page can end up in several places in cache depending on the virtual to physical translation. The method used here is to map a user page temporarily through the auto-refill way 0 and of of the DTLB. We probably will want to revisit this issue and use a better approach with kmap/kunmap. 2006-12-10[PATCH] xtensa: remove extra header filesChris Zankel1-215/+50
The Xtensa port contained many header files that were never needed. This rather lengthy patch removes all those files. Unfortunately, there were many dependencies that needed to be updated, so this patch touches quite a few source files. 2005-06-24[PATCH] xtensa: Architecture support for Tensilica Xtensa Part 5Chris Zankel1-0/+374
The attached patches provides part 5 of an architecture implementation for the Tensilica Xtensa CPU series. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
