swiotlb will only bounce buffer when the effective dma address for the
device is smaller than the actual DMA range. Instead of flipping between
the swiotlb and nommu ops for FSL SOCs that have the second outbound
window just don't set the bus dma_mask in this case.

Today we have:
config PPC_BOOK3S_32
bool "512x/52xx/6xx/7xx/74xx/82xx/83xx/86xx"
[depends on PPC32 within a choice]
config PPC_BOOK3S
def_bool y
depends on PPC_BOOK3S_32 || PPC_BOOK3S_64
config 6xx
def_bool y
depends on PPC32 && PPC_BOOK3S
6xx is therefore redundant with PPC_BOOK3S_32.
In order to make the code clearer, lets use preferably PPC_BOOK3S_32.
This will allow to remove CONFIG_6xx in a later patch.

Function scom_map_device() returns data type 'scom_map_t', which is a
typedef for 'void *'. This functions is currently returning NULL and zero,
which causes the following warning by 'sparse':
arch/powerpc/sysdev/scom.c:63:24: warning: Using plain integer as NULL pointer
arch/powerpc/sysdev/scom.c:86:24: warning: Using plain integer as NULL pointer
This patch simply replaces zero by NULL.

Sparse shows that xive_do_source_eoi() file is defined without any
declaration, thus, it should be a static function.
arch/powerpc/sysdev/xive/common.c:312:6: warning: symbol 'xive_do_source_eoi' was not declared. Should it be static?
This patch simply turns this symbol into static.

When a memblock allocation APIs are called with align = 0, the alignment
is implicitly set to SMP_CACHE_BYTES.
Implicit alignment is done deep in the memblock allocator and it can
come as a surprise. Not that such an alignment would be wrong even
when used incorrectly but it is better to be explicit for the sake of
clarity and the prinicple of the least surprise.
Replace all such uses of memblock APIs with the 'align' parameter
explicitly set to SMP_CACHE_BYTES and stop implicit alignment assignment
in the memblock internal allocation functions.
For the case when memblock APIs are used via helper functions, e.g. like
iommu_arena_new_node() in Alpha, the helper functions were detected with
Coccinelle's help and then manually examined and updated where
appropriate.
The direct memblock APIs users were updated using the semantic patch below:

ipic_get_mcp_status() is used by targets implementing NMI
watchdog in target specific machine check handler in order
to known whether a machine check results from a watchdog
NMI reset.
In case of very early machine check, primary_ipic pointer
might not have been set yet, so ipic_get_mcp_status() needs
to check it for nullity before using it.

Back when I added -Werror in commit ba55bd74360e ("powerpc: Add
configurable -Werror for arch/powerpc") I did it by adding it to most
of the arch Makefiles.
At the time we excluded math-emu, because apparently it didn't build
cleanly. But that seems to have been fixed somewhere in the interim.
So move the -Werror addition to the top-level of the arch, this saves
us from repeating it in every Makefile and means we won't forget to
add it to any new sub-dirs.

'default n' is the default value for any bool or tristate Kconfig
setting so there is no need to write it explicitly.
Also since commit f467c5640c29 ("kconfig: only write '# CONFIG_FOO
is not set' for visible symbols") the Kconfig behavior is the same
regardless of 'default n' being present or not:
...
One side effect of (and the main motivation for) this change is making
the following two definitions behave exactly the same:
config FOO
bool
config FOO
bool
default n
With this change, neither of these will generate a
'# CONFIG_FOO is not set' line (assuming FOO isn't selected/implied).
That might make it clearer to people that a bare 'default n' is
redundant.

Function xive_native_get_ipi() might use chip_id without it being
initialized, if the CPU node is not found, as reported by smatch:
error: uninitialized symbol 'chip_id'
As suggested by Cédric, we can use xc->chip_id instead of consulting
the device tree for chip id, which is safe since xive_prepare_cpu()
should have initialized ->chip_id by the time xive_native_get_ipi() is
called.

commit e8cb7a55eb8dc ("powerpc: remove superflous inclusions of
asm/fixmap.h") removed inclusion of asm/fixmap.h from files not
including objects from that file.
However, asm/mmu-8xx.h includes call to __fix_to_virt(). The proper
way would be to include asm/fixmap.h in asm/mmu-8xx.h but it creates
an inclusion loop.
So we have to leave asm/fixmap.h in sysdep/cpm_common.c for

Update the comment to account for the spurious interrupt number. The
code was already accounting for it, but that was unclear because it
was achieved by mpic_setup_error_int() knowing that the number it was
passed was the last used vector, rather than the first free vector.
So change the meaning of the argument to the first free vector and
update the caller to pass 13, instead of 12, to achieve the same
result.

The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This
patch replaces cases of:
kzalloc(a * b, gfp)
with:
kcalloc(a * b, gfp)
as well as handling cases of:
kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp)
with:
kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)
as it's slightly less ugly than:
kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)
This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

The GETFIELD and SETFIELD macros in xive-regs.h aren't used except for

These macros are also defined in vas.h, so either those should be

This is not the case for the moment, but future releases of pHyp might
need to introduce some synchronisation routines under the hood which
would make the XIVE hcalls longer to complete.
As this was done for H_INT_RESET, let's wrap the other hcalls in a
loop catching the H_LONG_BUSY_* codes.

When setting up a CPU, we "push" (activate) a pool VP for it.
However it's an error to do so if it already has an active
pool VP.
This happens when doing soft CPU hotplug on powernv since we
don't tear down the CPU on unplug. The HW flags the error which
gets captured by the diagnostics.
Fix this by making sure to "pull" out any already active pool
first.

Pull powerpc updates from Michael Ellerman:
"Notable changes:
- Support for 4PB user address space on 64-bit, opt-in via mmap().
- Removal of POWER4 support, which was accidentally broken in 2016
and no one noticed, and blocked use of some modern instructions.
- Workarounds so that the hypervisor can enable Transactional Memory
on Power9.
- A series to disable the DAWR (Data Address Watchpoint Register) on
Power9.
- More information displayed in the meltdown/spectre_v1/v2 sysfs
files.
- A vpermxor (Power8 Altivec) implementation for the raid6 Q
Syndrome.
- A big series to make the allocation of our pacas (per cpu area),
kernel page tables, and per-cpu stacks NUMA aware when using the
Radix MMU on Power9.
And as usual many fixes, reworks and cleanups.

Currently <linux/slab.h> #includes <linux/kmemleak.h> for no obvious
reason. It looks like it's only a convenience, so remove kmemleak.h
from slab.h and add <linux/kmemleak.h> to any users of kmemleak_* that
don't already #include it. Also remove <linux/kmemleak.h> from source
files that do not use it.
This is tested on i386 allmodconfig and x86_64 allmodconfig. It would
be good to run it through the 0day bot for other $ARCHes. I have
neither the horsepower nor the storage space for the other $ARCHes.
Update: This patch has been extensively build-tested by both the 0day
bot & kisskb/ozlabs build farms. Both of them reported 2 build failures
for which patches are included here (in v2).
[ slab.h is the second most used header file after module.h; kernel.h is
right there with slab.h. There could be some minor error in the
counting due to some #includes having comments after them and I didn't
combine all of those. ]

Bring in yet another series that touches KVM code, and might need to
be merged into the kvm-ppc branch to resolve conflicts.
This required some changes in pnv_power9_force_smt4_catch/release()
due to the paca array becomming an array of pointers.

Change the paca array into an array of pointers to pacas. Allocate
pacas individually.
This allows flexibility in where the PACAs are allocated. Future work
will allocate them node-local. Platforms that don't have address limits
on PACAs would be able to defer PACA allocations until later in boot
rather than allocate all possible ones up-front then freeing unused.
This is slightly more overhead (one additional indirection) for cross
CPU paca references, but those aren't too common.

In mpic_physmask() we loop over all CPUs up to 32, then get the hard
SMP processor id of that CPU.
Currently that's possibly walking off the end of the paca array, but
in a future patch we will change the paca array to be an array of
pointers, and in that case we will get a NULL for missing CPUs and
oops. eg:
Unable to handle kernel paging request for data at address 0x88888888888888b8
Faulting instruction address: 0xc00000000004e380
Oops: Kernel access of bad area, sig: 11 [#1]
...
NIP .mpic_set_affinity+0x60/0x1a0
LR .irq_do_set_affinity+0x48/0x100
Fix it by checking the CPU is possible, this also fixes the code if
there are gaps in the CPU numbering which probably never happens on
mpic systems but who knows.

The CPU event notification queues on sPAPR should be configured using
a hardware CPU identifier.
The problem did not show up on the Power Hypervisor because pHyp
supports 8 threads per core which keeps CPU number contiguous. This is
not the case on all sPAPR virtual machines, some use SMT=1.
Also improve error logging by adding the CPU number.

implementation.
- A new driver "ocxl" for "Open Coherent Accelerator Processor
Interface (OpenCAPI)" devices.
- Support for new device tree properties on PowerVM to describe
hotpluggable memory and devices.
- Add support for CLOCK_{REALTIME/MONOTONIC}_COARSE to the 64-bit
VDSO.
- Freescale updates from Scott: fixes for CPM GPIO and an FSL PCI
erratum workaround, plus a minor cleanup patch.
As well as quite a lot of other changes all over the place, and small
fixes and cleanups as always.
